Eh hope they fixed the bugs found in the flight :/ I had audio issues and vehicle issues during the flight that were very annoying.

A few audio issues are on the Known Issues list - nothing to the extent of what Reach had, but the team is aware and continuing to work on various bugs and issues for the first CEA update.

I wonder if they’ve fixed Reach’s audio.

Check out the development update blog that launched last week at Waypoint. Reach audio isn't updated yet - but the team is making a lot of progress. More info in that blog.

I'm a bit concerned as well, as far as the latest flight for me zooming was broken and inconsistent, switching to secondary weapons was inconsistent, I couldn't pickup any weapons on map.

Check out the Known Issues list and patch notes - a lot of areas were indeed addressed beyond the last flight build. But, there are also some areas that the team is continuing to work on. Goal is to get a solid foundational experience but the work doesn't stop once it's "released" (just like there's more work happening on Reach w/ bug fixing and even new features).

It's available now on Steam

And Xbox Game Pass for PC and the Microsoft Store :)

Seems like an odd trailer to put out and not have a release date or an announcement of when it will be out. Makes me think theyll make an announcement soon to say something like "releases next week on PC!" Or something.

Otherwise, why put it out?

Because it's cool and most people like it? Can't something just be cool without having to check 15 different boxes? :) It also got 100K views in a few hours, so clearly it's creating a little bit of excitement.

Are there no banners this time around?

Nope. No nameplates for this flight.

thebaum64

Does this also stand for the latest flight? Thanks.

No.

Looks like a blast! Which playlists did you end up jumping into?

Season 2 should start when Halo: CE releases, not sure what they're going to include in the rewards, either way you can always go back and get a previous season's rewards, nothing will ever be locked away from you.

The next season won't start with the release of HCEA - Max has some additional details in the Feb development blog (which I'm told is now live on Waypoint). And you'll always be able to go back and still unlock content from any prior season.

That was one powerful swing. Nicely done!

If you're unable to get this sorted, please file a support ticket at the Halo Support Site -> support.halowaypoint.com

That's really cool!

Does this mean more people get invited?

As of now there are no plans to add brand new users to this flight. It's only being extended by a few days.

They really need to get a larger crew working on MCC especially since they stated they weren't working on certain issues due to lack of manpower.

It's not really an issue of manpower per say - there are multiple external development partners/studios contributing to MCC coming to PC. But the larger those teams become, the more challenging the whole project is to manage. Keep in mind the vast majority of the studio is completely focused on Halo Infinite. Ultimately the MCC work is still six complete games, most very old, being updated and brought to PC almost from square one which has proven to be no small feat. Features and issues always shift around and move up and down the priority list in game development - IMO every game has to inevitably make tradeoffs or it'd never ship. Good news is that the team is continuing to work on MCC PC and that work will continue on all the titles even after they've "shipped."

remember when they said "it would come sooner than you expected" and everyone was like ":0 before e3??" then we waited like a whole ass year, they definitely announced it too early.

We've been pretty open about the fact that some aspects of development proved to be more challenging and complex than originally scoped. The project took longer than originally planned or we'd have never have announced that early.

I believe the largest flight group we've invited to date was around ~150K people. That's only a fraction of the total Halo Insider audience so, statistically speaking, you're far from the only person who's yet to receive an invite. Sorry you haven't gotten selected yet - for this most recent flight, the team specifically added a lot of Insiders who've yet to be selected (in addition to re-inviting folks who were active in prior flights). I assume you have opted in for PC flighting and have a DXDIAG attached to your Insider profile?

Fun fact - that's actually an older track created by Kazuma! It was something he originally composed to be used as a theme track of sorts for Halo World Championship a few years back. It never really got used broadly.

Great to hear! Not too often that kind words bubble up in here, so thanks and we're happy to hear you and your buddies are having fun! Next up: Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary! :)
