It’s time for a Switch up! On March 9, 2021, Nintendo Switch players will have the opportunity to earn the Cyprus Nell Outfit and Quantic Pulsar Back Bling for competing in the Fortnite Switch Cup 3. This event is open to all eligible Switch players across all server regions and is part of our commitment to offer console-exclusive tournaments.
The Switch Cup 3 will be a one-round, 3-hour tournament in which players can participate in up to 10 matches to earn as many points as they can within that 3-hour window. The top performing players from each region will receive the Cyprus Nell Outfit and Quantic Pulsar Back Bling. Additionally, players will only need to accumulate 8 points to receive the Impasto Wrap reward. Players will earn points based on the scoring system listed below, so be sure to reference this system to determine your best strategy.

A film festival is coming to Fortnite!
Starting February 20, 2021, at 2 PM ET, join players worldwide for the Fortnite Presents Short Nite Film Festival. Running until February 21, 2021, at 2 PM ET, Short Nite brings acclaimed animated film shorts to Party Royale’s Big Screen. Grab some popcorn (in real life or in-game), jump in with yourself or some friends, and enjoy a series of short-form cinema.The animated shorts featured in Short Nite come from around the world. (Among them are shorts that were previously nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film!)

Players who complete any of the Hearts Wild-themed Quests will earn the Breathless Blades Pickaxe at the conclusion of Chapter 2 Season 5. Because these Quests are “Epic” Season 5 Weekly Quests, they'll be available all through the rest of the Season! (Players will still have the opportunity to earn The Breathless Blades Pickaxe through the Hearts Wild Team Battles, which you can read about below. Get your guernseys out, everyone, because your chance to join your favorite AFL team has arrived! Starting at 9:00 AM AEDT on January 27, you will be able to sign up to compete with community creators and players representing 18 AFL teams to take your shot at winning some V-Bucks and a footy-themed Spray in the AFL Community Battles!
All 18 teams are gearing up to see who comes out on top, so get warmed up to put in the hard work. Every member of the winning team will get 800 V-Bucks each, those of the 2nd-place team will get 400 V-Bucks each, and those of the 3rd-place team will get 200 V-Bucks each. Check out the rules on the AFL Community Battles website if you fancy it.
In addition to the Crew Pack, active Fortnite Crew subscribers will receive their February monthly 1,000 V-Bucks on the same date each subscriber initially subscribed.
