Skip this if you don't want to read a rant.
Please allow me to vent for a moment. Every time a new DLC drops, someone rants about "Another #@$%@$% DLC! Why don't you give us improved X or add to Y!" It's inevitable. Seriously, GTFO with that. Funcom is doing a commendable job. Since I've been playing for the last year-ish, there have been 5 DLC packs, which include A LOT of stuff, but it's all variations on a theme. New Buildings, New Armor, New Weapons, but nothing that will give you an advantage over another player if you fork over the cash and they don't. Funcom isn't shoving microtransactions into the game. It simply allows you to flavor your gameplay how you like. I've only bought the Aquilonian DLC because I like Roman style stuff, and I'm at no disadvantage. But the real SUBSTANTIVE changes have all been simply included in the game. The Frozen North expansion, the new religions (two or three, I can't recall what was there at launch), the Unnamed City overhaul, the new mini-bosses, new animations, and near constant tweaking/balancing of weapons/armor and enemies; all of that is a significant overhaul/improvement of gameplay, and you just have it. And if you want more, find a modded server, or start your own. But being constantly outraged about DLC gets old and shows a lack of maturity. Funcom is a company, and companies have to make money, and they do that by making the game appeal to a larger audience by giving that audience a way to flavor the game to their taste. If they made you pay real money to buy Telith's Sorrow, or sold "Demon Blood Bundles" I'd be right there with you complaining, but they're not.
Happy Slaying.
