(2020) PINNED: Mods Compatibility List [Patch 1.12.3-f2]

This thread was added on January 22, 2020, with posts from Avanya.

Originally posted by snowflitzer: All good but now I start the CS, then steam updated and then I get only the paradox launcher. I needed to create an account only to find some games in there which are not mine. linked then my steam with it as CS was not found and from then on it went normal. The only difference now I see that I logged into my Paradox account and my steam account?
It looks better but from a design perspective it is crap

Wrong thread. This is just about mods and I'm just a helpful player. :)
If you're having issues with the new launcher, then the support forums[forum.paradoxplaza.com] are probably the best place to go.
Alternately someone in the discussion reacting to the announcement might be able to help. :)

Are you getting the new launcher to show up? Some people are having issues with it, which will stop the game from starting.
-noWorkshop and -disableMods work for some people but not for others. So another bug that I'm sure they'll fix since the support staff regularly have people use these when pinpointing issues. Annoying for sure, but certainly a temporary issue.
I'm a big fan of a 2nd account for modding. When you use some mods and custom props/trees to decorate assets, it becomes easier than disabling stuff on the main account.
Originally posted by LemonsterOG: Hmmm...I never thought about making multiple accounts to manage different games. I've been up to my eyeballs making and managing collections to try and handle it. I'm currently playing (when the game gets fixed) 3 different cities. One is summer, one is fall, and one is winter. I've been bouncing back and forth with assets in collections to keep them all straight when I'm loading between them. Separate accounts would really help me. I'll give that some thought. Thanks. :smileyflag:

Separate mod lists or configs would be the ideal situation, but since we don't have that several accounts and family sharing with yourself actually works pretty well. I've considered setting up a 3rd account for a different setup for completely different styled cities, but on the other hand 3 accounts feel like a little overkill. :P

Yes you are very very helpful and friendly. Thank you for all your service.
You're welcome! ^^ There isn't much for me to do this patch though, since mods seem to be working like they should. But hey, that's how we like patches! :P
@Chilldrox: That sounds really frustrating! :( Hopefully we'll see a patch soon to fix the issues caused by the launcher. I can't really help with all this and I doubt anyone who can checks this thread, since it's focused on mods.
The best thing you can do while waiting is probably post on the support forums[forum.paradoxplaza.com] and attach the files mentioned in this post[forum.paradoxplaza.com] to help narrow down what's happening.
Fingers crossed this will be fixed soon!

I don't know anything that isn't available info to everyone else. I don't work for Paradox, I just do these mod compatibility threads each patch to help out players. Asking in the discussion for the patch is more likely to get an answer. I doubt Azurespecter checks this thread. ;)
