If you got to Top 5 then that means you earn 4 points. Assuming you are Gold or Silver, then the game deducts 1 or 2 points which still puts you in positive territory, therefore the forgiveness doesn't kick in. Forgiveness only prevents you from going negative.

Ok I emailed around and turns out that when they turned abandon penalties off, it took forgiveness along with it. I believe a fix is incoming but I don't know exactly when. Hopefully next week since it's just a server side fix
