I've a ticket open for some QOL fixes for that, I suggested a toggle and also have it only scroll on mouse wheel when the text entry was in progress. Hopefuly we can get some traction there :) I do run in 1920x1080 and don't encounter those issues. There are some UI scaling options that might help?
