I use it all the time. I put it in the center of a island I have, on a item spawned.

  • I basically made a small BR map for fighting against multiple people.

  • I have it so the island has randomized chests and sometimes the drop rate for shotguns is 0. We use the buried treasure for a better item, while still not making it do OP.

I have never seen a bug with it, it works like it should. The map always leads to somewhere on the island.


If your interested, this is a list off all the things missing for creative, that are actually something you could do.

  • I made the list so that I would personally know what was missing, you don’t have to add it all.

Actually though I think the shotgun thing might be a bug, one time I set out over 40 randomized chests and got no shotguns. This happens all the time, but only when the game has started.

Shotguns are never in the BR chests. We'll start thinking about a way to provide more flexible item spawers that could work more like BR. Thanks for the suggestion.

Where do I find the team rotation option?

Team Rotation will be right under Total Rounds after we hotfix it on. Will be on shortly. Thank you for letting us know it was missing!

What about the buried treasure?

  • You have to find it in randomized chests at the moment, and it is a pain.

What would you want to use it for? Early on it had some bugs so we didn't add it. We can look into it. We'd have to allow it to spawn any where on the island which might limit it's usefulness.

Phone glow still not fixed :( it says it is, but it still shows up afer a while.

We are working on another fix for this. Sorry this ended up being a fixed failed.

Hop Rocks aren’t like the original ones. The jumps are a lot shorter.

Is this the consensus? In theory they should be exactly the same. When I used them I had the same reaction, but couldn't remember since it was so long ago.

We're working on it. Anyone in favor of us turning it off until it's fixed or would you rather use it in this state?

the target gallery targets are still bugged

moving circle targets and settings have a chance to reset to the standing moving target with all default settings if you save, exit then go back to that map

We've gotten reports this isn't completely fixed. Please let us know when and where you're still getting this. We're looking in to what the core issue is right now.

Another amazing update for creative! Keep up the great work.

I'm loving the new features/settings added to create new and familiar gametypes. Do you guys have any plans to make a "capture zone" feature? Could be used to make domination, king of the hill, and hardpoint type game modes.

What happened to the blade in the stone which we were told we’d be getting?

Was a really crazy bug where it could only ever be pulled once so had to pull it out. We are working on a fix for that and then will release it.

Can we please get an option on Objective Devices to only blow up player built structures when destroyed?

The way they are now, they just blow up everything in its radius which isn't very ideal. Would love to have this setting.

Added to the list. Not certain when we will get to it. More votes here will help us figure out when to prioritize the work.

Why no coconuts I wonder?

It was the trees. Required work to make them an option on the trees otherwise they would fall anytime that tree type was used and likely ruin other game modes where creators didn’t want coconuts. And you’d think we could just add them directly in this gallery. They are on this list to eventually get in.

You have outdone yourselves once again, Epic, and I am incredibly grateful to have this many tools and weapons to use!

I have a few questions as well, before I forget...

  1. Do we have any updates on the normal Melee Weapon that u/ZooKeeperZak was considering?
  2. Do you have plans to add the Shadow Stones and Guided Missile?
  3. Will we be getting a "Flag" weapon that does nothing, but takes up an inventory slot and can be used for the Capture Point?

Don’t have planned timeline for melee. There are so many other items that are faster to implement. We did talk about it more though. It won’t be forgotten.

Shadow Stones are on the list.

Guided Missile is an item that comes with many many complications. Will need to work closely with the BR team before we can consider adding it to creative. Uncertain if we will add this and very unlikely it would be anytime soon. Jetpack and the Blade were the priority we still have bugs to fix with those :).

Ok I get it now. I started working on this map in december I think and have been updating it regularly. I remember there was this time when it went from 40-50K to 99999 all of a sudden, months ago, and it was quickly fixed. Then yeah a few weeks ago it was around 76K and that's when it jumped back to 100K. I figured this time was the same bug and would be fixed the same way, I didn't think the real memory would be even this high I thought the bug was actually displaying the wrong budget not the map being over budget. At first I was just deleting stuff to make room and replacing it with new additions. At one point I discovered this bug : https://new.reddit.com/r/FortniteCreative/comments/b66jgh/for_those_who_experience_the_memory_increase_bug/ And started using this method to be able to keep working thinking I was still in the limit because the TRUE memory would be around 76K as it was before the bug. So from this point I kept adding stuff until you explained the issue. If I had to guess, I'd say after being over budget I added maybe 10K more memory so maybe the initial change brought the memory from 76K to like 120-130K. As for the island as a training island it features a lot of unbreakable gallery structures (walls, floors, ramps), builds. A lot of sentries, item spawners and quite a bit of bouncers as well. I checked a few of those to see what would've caused the memory to jump and didn't see any big difference in size. I just noticed recently tho, the unbreakable gallery structures, sometimes would cost 3, sometimes 4 memory. Don't know if this is supposed to happen, not sure if this was already like this before but if not this could also partially explain why the memory increased. But also while deleting stuff, I saw something strange happening : Deleting bumperds would make the memory go down crazy fast : https://streamable.com/m5ayu Maybe there are some other devices glitched ? Anyway, I was indeed able to go (barely) back under budget thaks to your explanations. That being said I'm now very close to the limit while having deleted a lot of stuff on my island. I see that you're gonna try to avoid things like that happening in the future, but can we expect what was increased in size reduced back ? Or yeah being able to know if there are changes of this type because even after having deleted so much I'm still higher than I was before and I haven't been able to figure out what made the memory go up.

I think I made in-game feedbacks that might help as well.

Yeah we found a few bugs in working on your map that will be fixed in 8.30. Super helpful thank you! Hopefully these bug fixes will fix the memory situation.

Sounds like undo would fix most of these issues and ability to rebind controls the rest?
