It's great how you guys are trying diminish annoying/boring archetype decks with new cards, one more damage than 2 shocks, RDWs will love this.

It's a joke. Chill.

If I see anyone complain about Teferi again, I'm going to spam this card. BEHOLD, FRIENDS!

Not a lot of solid info, most of it not if but when answers.
No general chat planned, but Friends chat when FL implemented.
We'll start hearing more about the new Format with 2020.
Multi-player doesn't sound like an option in any foreseeable future.
They'd like to do no AI Drafts, not likely until after FL (Sooner rather than later I hope)
The major takeaway for me was that the team seems to be "just enough" He sounded like they have the manpower to get each new set done in time, fix bugs as they locate them and a few small features. Everything else major like a FL etc almost came across as a, if someone has an extra 5 min they work on it.
As I said that's the impression I came away with not what he said. I am concerned that the FL and such is much farther out than I thought reasonable. He said they basically start working on the new ...

@Zlehtnoba:

I liked the video, and I liked that Jay made the time to talk to us a bit. Lots of good PR there. But.
Is it really too much to expect to have Wizards field a team that is more than just enough? This is in no way meant to reflect on the quality of the work Chris, Jay and the team put in on Arena, it's a great product. But how can we expect new and exciting developments when it takes all the time between the sets to code a new set? Or are there also people that don't work on that part, and are developing new features? There was way too much of, it's coming, after the last new set is done.
And again, a big thank you to all of the people responsible for getting Arena this far.

Feel free to apply, then!

That was a nice Weekly MTG. I like where Chris Clay took Arena and was worried to hear him go, but Jay Parker seems like a cool cat.

I miss Clay terribly, but Jay is also awesome. Both of them are wonderful people who have the players' best interests at heart.

Tomorrow we're having a special guest on Weekly MTG! Join us at 2pm PT on http://twitch.tv/magic as we welcome MTG Arena's new Game Director Jay Parker and chat with him about future in-game happenings.

Playing "broken" decks to beat "broken" decks is literally describing meta shift. Yes, that's how things work. That's how things work in every game. One thing is good, so people start playing something to counter it.

If ya'll complain about net decking one more time, I'm taking away internet points. Odds are the decks you're complaining about people net decking are just people logically putting cards together. If card a+card b= wombo combo, then yeah, people are going to put it together. Probably even without googling it!

If you run into someone roping intentionally, please report them! That is how we decide to take action or not. We do regularly take action on accounts that are intentionally roping other players... Even if you don't see it happen.

(And before this turns into a, "it should be easier to report people" conversation, there are definitely benefits to having an in-game reporting system! There are also negatives. The system we have now is the system we are going to have.)

I'm not going to take this post down because I think your opinions are valid, however, I am going to close it. The 16 invitees are also accomplished Magic players and have proven themselves time and time again. You not knowing anything about Nessa or Amazonian doesn't mean you get to put them down for being invited.

GO AWAY!
Get tired of you copy pasting the same damn response over and over. no matter what you say you can't convince me that a game where only one player is playing is the intended format.
You not liking their response does't make it any less valid. Read our Code of Conduct and quit trolling.
who said its not valid, i hate the person for his mentality throughout the forum. Also who is trolling? I thought "you not liking a response does not make it any less valid."??!!

No personal attacks. Again, read the Code of Conduct please.

by the way, this is the kind of the thread we are having every other week or so and many people give OP's of these threads good reasons: sometimes AFK's happen, sometimes life get's in the way (i have times where i just started a game and my 4 year old started yelling he had pooped and needed his ass whiped) but yes sometimes you meet a salty nut
if you are playing an event (like sealed, draft).. wait them out and use that time to report (WOTC most likely won't do a whole lot and everyone can have a technical oopsie or life issue that got in the way but [[58194,users]] has said a couple of months ago regarding the no nexus win debacle that they DO take care, espescially if they see certain names pop up more regularly)
if not and it's just play or ranked, either report them or concede
(preferably the first since the second option might encourage the intentional behaviour)
in life though, a little patience goes a long way sometimes
Report them! We ...

Why? why can't I post what I like and dislike about the game? Why is it such a big deal to say what I dislike when playing the game? When I play PvP FPS shooters I go on the games' forums and say I don't like playing against snipers, some players agree others disagree and all share their experience about it, some do offer tips others tell their side of palying it but here when you say you dislike some play style it's like your offending the village elders and should be shun from the community, I don't get it. If you think there's too many thread about it go ahead merge them, but don't tell ppl to stop posting their opinions, thought musing, feelings about the game.
Well, snipers are the scum of the earth and deserve complaints. Artillery players even worse. :rage:
However blue players in MTG and mill players in MTG are sweet, cuddly and lovable creatures who deserve some 'speck' on their name.

I'd argue that MTG Arena IS fun... The time it isn't fun is when you lose, especially losing to something that you don't think you should lose to (RDW, Control, "netdecks", "tournament decks", etc). That's what the majority of the posts are about.
Personally I do find Arena fun for the most part. I've never had an issue with loosing myself. You win game/ you loose games. The enjoyment I get myself is from PLAYING the game. I find that most of these posts are from frustrated people, who aren't getting to actually play the game. I've been playing long enough and i understand this will happen. Sometimes a person just has to vent their frustration. If you don't vent out, it bottles up. This is where rage quits happens the most IMO. Entering into a game where you can't actually play the game is rough. Table top you can say "hey, no control decks", on here you can't.
Maybe as a forum admin you could alleviate...

Seriously, the shuffler threads got amalgamated into the mega thread that most of us ignore. Surely it's about time the pointless complaining threads had the same treatment.
For real
Complaints are feedback, the provider should be mindful of the users experience of their service, in my humble opinion.

Complaints can be feedback, and we take feedback seriously.

Its frankly absurde for you to advocate otherwise, you are basically saying that if someone designs a game then they have to make it fun for everyone and every playstyle out there. That frankly is impossible to do.
This is a pretty gross misinterpretation of what I said. Let's try an analogy then to make it a little more clear. Let's use Super Smash Bros. I don't particularly like Fox, no items, Final Destination. What you're saying is I should just suck it up and learn to like that, instead of allowing me the option to play with all the items and characters and stages. That's what we're arguing about here. People are asking for a way to play fun, casual games, and all they're getting in response by the community is stuff like "lol no, the game was meant to be played 1v1 Final Destination nub, git gud." Could Nintendo have put out a game that was nothing but Final Destination? Sure, they don't have to do anything. But Smash Bros is undoubtedly...
