The DNA Pokémon, Deoxys, has tested the strength of Trainers in EX Raids and has changed form again! Defense Forme Deoxys will be in EX Raids with stronger defenses than previously seen, so make sure your team is prepared. This Psychic-type Mythical Pokémon will be available to challenge beginning March 25.

Are you new to EX Raids? You can become eligible to receive an EX Raid Pass when you win a Raid Battle at a qualifying Gym. You’ll be able to see which Gyms can host an EX Raid through a handy tag when you look at the Gym details. EX Raid Passes will give you the date and time when you’ll be able to challenge Defense Forme Deoxys, so mark your calendar and prepare your Pokémon for an epic battle!

The first Pokémon GO Safari Zone in Southeast Asia is taking place in Sentosa, Singapore! Sentosa is known for its pristine beaches, tropical landscape, and wide range of entertainment. Ticket holders will encounter rare Pokémon—such as the Grass- and Flying-type Pokémon Tropius—roaming around the beautiful island of Sentosa from Thursday, April 18, to Monday April 22.

Register now for a chance to receive a free one-day ticket for our Safari Zone event in Sentosa by visiting the event website from 5 March to 7 March at https://safarizone.sentosa.com.sg. Tickets will be sent to selected Trainers via email no later than 11 March. Please note, Trainers with a ticket will only be able to find the special Safari Zone event Pokémon during the day the ticket was first claimed. A new arrival to raids will test your strength this next month! The Steel- and Dragon-type Temporal Pokémon, Dialga, will join Raid Battles across the world from March 1 at 1:00 p.m. PST to March 28 at 1:00 p.m. PDT!

Dialga has the ability to warp time by slowing it down, speeding it up, and even stopping it altogether, and Sinnoh region mythology says that time began moving when Dialga was born. Adding color and personality to Pokémon, and also creating meaningful opportunities for interaction with them, has been something our team has thought about for a long time.

GO Snapshot is a logical extension of the AR+ feature that the game already had for taking AR photos. However, GO Snapshot is both simpler to use and a more personal experience for Trainers. Previously, Trainers were limited to taking photos of Pokémon that they encountered in the wild. Now, there are many useful improvements that Pokémon photographers will find appealing.

We’re excited to announce a major update to Trainer Battles in Pokémon GO—stat boosts! Starting this Saturday during Swinub Community Day, certain Charge Attacks will have a chance to trigger stat boosts in Trainer Battles. These stat boosts will persist on the affected Pokémon until they either faint or are switched out of battle. The first moves this update will impact are below.

  • Ancient Power: Chance to raise the user’s Attack and Defense
  • Ominous Wind: Chance to raise the user’s Attack and Defense
  • Silver Wind: Chance to raise the user’s Attack and Defense

Introducing GO Snapshot—an easy way to take a photo of any Pokémon you have in your Pokémon Storage! You can find the feature when looking at a specific Pokémon or accessing the camera in your Bag of items.

It’s simple to use. Select a Pokémon and tap on the screen to throw its Poké Ball to that spot. Once your Pokémon is situated in the ideal spot, you can then move around it to find the best angle for your photo. Is your Pokémon distracted or looking the wrong way? Brush across it to get its attention, and it will be sure to face you.

Thank you so much for visiting the Porto Alegre Safari Zone throughout the three-day event last weekend! We are astounded by the Trainers who journeyed from around the world to enjoy our very first Safari Zone in Brazil.

Throughout the weekend, tens of thousands of Trainers visited the recently revitalized Guaíba riverbank in Porto Alegre. Trainers from all over the world socialized and played together in Team Lounges while enjoying refreshing river breezes in the warm summer weather.

Whether relaxing while grabbing a bite to eat from local food vendors near the Gasômetro or hatching Eggs around the Marinha do Brasil park, Trainers caught Relicanth and Unown as they explored the Porto Alegre Safari Zone. We have exciting news! The Shiny version of the Mythical Pokémon Meltan has been discovered! Just in time to celebrate the Lunar New Year, the Shiny version of Meltan will appear for a limited time.

A Mythical Pokémon, the mysterious and rare Meltan only appears when a Mystery Box is opened. If you’re lucky, you may encounter Shiny Meltan when you open the Mystery Box from February 5 at 1 p.m. PST until March 4 at 11:59 p.m. PST. During this special event, the time that you have to wait before you can open the Mystery Box again will be reduced to three days. Be careful, Trainer! If you open the Mystery Box before this event starts, you will have to wait the usual time period before you can open it again.
