Currently, survivors are able to see killers perks, items, etc. once they are sacrificed. This means they are able to tell the rest of their team what the killer is using, effectively giving a huge advantage over end game perks. Would you consider changing this, so that all perks/add-ons/etc are only visible to players once the match has ended?

Over the past six months, we have allocated strike teams with the mission of improving the overall health of the game. As announced last December, we have developers working on a new matchmaking algorithm which we are actively testing and are almost ready to deploy. We are also targeting to migrate the game to dedicated servers by the end of summer 2019.

When we first released Dead by Daylight back in 2016, we targeted 30 FPS on our minimum spec. Are you planning to bring back the old dailies with larger BP rewards? If not, then why?

We have no plans to bring back the old rewards to the daily rituals. Since the progression has been changed, the high rewards for daily rituals were too high and this is why they got lowered.

In the Emblems PTB # 2 Patch Notes, you listed a large amount of bug fixes and QoL improvements. Do we have to wait for them until the Emblems are ready to be released or is there a chance you'll release a small bug fix & QoL patch prior to that?

The changes listed in the PTB are coming with the Emblem patch. Some of them are interdependent with the Emblem system and we think it is best to have one patch that has been thoroughly tested than two separated smaller patches.

Would you ever consider changing the 'press to struggle' button which seems to punish players who experience a dip in connection with their death. A possible change could be 'hold to give up'. That would also avoid the people who spam the button before finding out about the change.

With more cosmetics coming to the game soon, and cosmetics for licensed characters not being confirmed, is it safe to assume that it's a bad idea to ''main'' a certain licensed character? Because you'll most likely enjoy an original character far more due to more customization options for them.

No licensed cosmetics are planned for now. We are in contact with licensors but cannot promise anything on the outcome of the discussions.

Those are ideas we want to try out: Improving the base power, modifiying the dream world vision, preventing actions while transitionning in the dream world (generator repair, totem breaking, healing), missed Self Care skill checks do not wake the survivor up anymore.

Are there any plans on giving us a type of minimap or birds-eye view of the match at the end screen where we can see the paths each survivor and the killer took in that match?

It would be really cool to see how close you were to the survivors as the killer without realizing and in general it would be a fun feature.

Almost two years ago on a dev stream you guys agreed that being forced to take a flashlight while being locked in an animation was unfair and unfun.
You told us you were making a change so that killers can move their cameras during pallet breaks and pickup animations.
How close are you to finishing this feature?

Still something we want to do. But we need a lot of animation resources that we do not have right now to do the job properly. We want to put it on this year's roadmap but as of right now it is in the backlog. We would also like to change the blindness effect because we had a lot of feedback on the white screen effect.

Will we ever get a buff to We're gonna live forever? Killer's BBQ give extra BP and ability too see survivors, and they gain this by doing what they are suppose to do. Survivors have to go out of their way just to get 1 token, and even that's not a guarantee, since another survivor get's the unhook before you even get there. The best way is to take a hit while simply while they are in the dying state or on the shoulder for just 1 token and 99% of cases, that won't help them. Taking a hit while they are being chases is super wonky and you have to pretty much right next to them. I've been in multi-pal cases where I got 4 tokens and still didn't even get double BP at the end of the match.

TL:DR We are using a perk for BP, that's very situational, doesn't really help the team, and doesn't help us.
Perhaps we could get a token for fixing a generator as well?

Nearly one year ago, Stefan Horvath talked about several rework perks ideas, especially one with Play with Your Food. What is the ETA on this perk? Besides DS, are you currently testing some perk reworks?

Absolutely, there is a lot of testing going on right now! We are aiming for a mid-chapter patch covering specific perks changes, addons adjustements, new addons and animation changes on charge time (for killers).
For instance, we are changing Tinkerer completely which led to a addon pass

Suggestion/request:

Please include an ingame notification on all platforms the next time you deactivate a feature for a certain amount of time, bonus points for doing so a week before the feature is deactivated.

Players are legit confused why Shrine of Secrets is not available/doesn't update anymore. Not everyone browses reddit or the official forums, reads your blog posts or watches your Developer Streams. Changes like this are important and should be clearly communicated in the game.

As some of you may have noticed, we launched the Chapter 11 Demise of the Faithful PTB with some slight changes to the Emblem System. This is the first step in an ongoing effort to improve our ranking and Emblem System. Therefore, we want to provide you with information on how these changes may affect your matches and overall rank in Dead by Daylight.

WHY CHANGE THE SYSTEM?

There have been many community concerns recently regarding the current state of ranking. We wanted to address these concerns by adjusting the system to provide an incremental difficulty scale in both achieving and maintaining higher ranks. Each rank group (color) now sets its own requirements for pipping thresholds rather than remaining a static goal no matter how high in rank you climb.

Earlier this month, Behaviour interactive collaborated with Dead by Daylight and Perspectives Jeunesse to host a seminar on Game Development with youths from the city.

The participants were invited to discover the many professions that contribute to the creation of a game. With a hands-on approach to storyboarding, audio conception, art, game design and programming, they were able to create their own version of Dead by Daylight: DBD Mini.
