As we mentioned recently, we're expecting to launch our 3.17 expansion in early February which means that the ongoing Scourge Challenge League will end fairly soon. It prompts the question, will Scourge become a core Path of Exile mechanic?The short answer is no. We don't have any current plans to bring Scourge back. It may still return some time in the future but we can't give any current indications for when that might be or what Scourge would look like as core game content.In case you have unfinished challenges in this league, there are still a few weeks left to complete them before we say goodbye to The Last to Die and send the Scourge back to where they came from. Most of our team has returned from the end-of-year holiday break. We're excited to return and officially wish you a Happy New Year! We're eager to continue the development of Path of Exile's 3.17 expansion and Path of Exile 2 and can't wait to show you what we have in the pipeline. We're very excited about our plans for 2022 and while our 3.17 expansion reveal is just around the corner, over the course of this year we expect to reveal a lot more of Path of Exile 2. We will confirm the dates for our 3.17 expansion launch as soon as we can, to ensure you have as much notice as possible to plan accordingly. • We deployed more than 100 updates/patches to our realm.


• We posted 442 news articles - an average of 8.5 posts per week.


• We set a record number of players online (265,250 on our server alone - up by 11% from our previous record of 237,160).


• Around 5.3 million different players played Path of Exile on our international realm.
