We know, complete slide mechanic overhaul coming in the next patch. You'll be able to choose a button and single/double tap input.
Canceling the vault is something we debated, especially the high vaults. It's something we might do in the future, but for now it's not planned.
Thanks for the response
Always 😊
Are the windows getting patched in the next update?
Yes they are in the next patch. Sat together with the artists responsible for the windows and gave them tools to better mark the outlines of the windows.
Video still shows mad skills btw

Hey u/lytlb1t can you have a look from 2:30 onto and take care of this guy? Thanks!

Hello again u/lytlb1t These guys took over FS servers today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlCyYqQbSbs&feature=youtu.be we had to stop playing, cause we were meeting them almost every game.
Hope you're often checking out our cheater list, new nicknames popping every day and a lot of them are still active to this day.

What an absolute boss
It's dude, he openly admits to it. It makes everyone leave the server. Everyone is beginning to recognize when he joins. Been going on for a couple weeks so far just with this one.
Did you report him?
Glad you like it, perfect use case!
This happened to me yesterday as well. I was getting off a tank and ended up under the map. It was in Arras.
Was the tank upside down?
Hey thanks for the response! I completely agree, the system is far better than it was at launch. I just feel it could be adjusted. The two videos aren't the best examples, but the only two I had on hand. If I capture a better example, I'l send it on. I've been in other situations and experienced similar problems. Where I'm being kicked out of ads or unable to find a surface that's just right to deploy the bipod on.
The slope in the first video isn't the most ideal place for a bipod. But I was able to deploy it and ads at certain positions/orientations. So I figured, why not deploy while looking towards the A point or at the guy who appeared? The bipod is on the end of a the gun, about 1/2 a metre away so I though I might have been able to rest the bipod on the lip of the hill. It feels like the bipod only deploys on the surface that's immediately at my feet, which is not always what I want to do.
Yep, realised the problem with the at rifle was that I was too close to the side of the window. But I could see the enemy players, so thought I should be able to aim at them. Im just trying to avoid to have to be poking my head out the window as much as possible.
I understand that whatever system is in place, there will always be a situation where the bipod work perfectly, and that there can be hiccups here and there. I've just found, more often than not, that it's hard to find the ideal bipod position that doesn't make me a massive target. It's hard to judge where I can deploy them and when I'll automatically kicked out of ads. I do like that the weapons need the bipod to ads, to distinguish them from other weapons. Running around shoulder firing huge MGs in bf1 always seemed silly to me. But not being able to predict the bipod deployment just makes normal weapons more fun to use.
p.s. I don't know if it's said on the sub often, but I love the manual leaning system. Cheers for adding it!
I agree, we need to make it more consistent and readable, I'll definitely give it some love. Let's see what we come up with!
What an action, that quick revive was amazing
Here's two videos with my experience of bipods. Sorry I can't edit them to make them shorter.
In this clip I was trying to ads and aim toward the A point as soon as I peek over the yellow sheet https://xboxclips.com/sherbobs/19dfff28-ec20-400e-a1cf-8a59d7118f61
Here I'm trying to aim out a window https://xboxclips.com/sherbobs/12041558-73c1-4a0d-b4a7-a75f167296ab
It's hard to deploy bipods at all. In the first clip I was on a slope, sometimes it deploys, sometimes it doesn't. In the second clip I had trouble getting to deploy at a window. Deploying depends on where you are, the direction your looking and your stance. But even on regular surfaces is hard to tell when they'll work.
Then theres the problem that a small rotation while ads can cause the bipod to be folded away. Thats what got me killed in the second clip. I deployed the bipod and ads. When adjusting aim, I get kicked out of ads. I have to reposition and try again.
They don't work with the auto peeking system. In the second clip, I try to peak over the window and end up just looking at a higher part of the window frame.
It's hard to know what surfaces bipods will and won't deploy on. There is no indication when you can/can't deploy or for when you will be automatically kicked out of ads. It's just not fun to struggle with them.
Hey thanks for the videos. The first situation on the slope I wouldn't expect the bipod to be deployed, the system doesn't cater for these situations very well. The second one, in the window, it should work but you're close to the edge.
I guess we need to revisit the mechanic once more since although it's better than it was, there is still a lot of room for improvements. It's hard for us to decide on a good solution since there are so many different places and use cases. Need some more time to come up with a robust system.
Hmm I've never seen this mentioned before, would be good if you could share a video. Which platform?
tell DICE or quote some dev here plz
Not needed, I mentioned it to the vehicle designers.
