    • The La-5FN[wiki.warthunder.com] got its name from the more powerful M-82FN engine installed in this modification of the aircraft. The La-5FN is slightly slower than the German Fw 190 A and Bf 109 G, but demonstrates great flight characteristics at low altitudes. For weaponry, this aircraft features two 20 mm ShVAK cannons with 340 rounds, great for taking out enemy aircraft.

In the context of SIM EC, I thought the A10C was absolutely fantastic. I've seen them work well in RB air and ground. The AIM-9M's are pretty nice.
Back when there was only the A7D, it was pretty decent- but if you're into Ground RB, the A7E gets up to 6 walleyes, and might be worth looking into if you really like the US 10.3/10.7 ground bracket.
The Harrier- well.. -personally- I think there are better alternatives, both for air and ground battles. FWIW- until the F-18's, the Harrier was the last plane I have to research in the US air tree, because I didn't really feel that it had more to offer than the others. Read more

They have their shortcomings- DM63 at 9.3 isn't one of them.
Edit: Strv 104 vs T-55 -- The DM23 is -substantially- better on high angle than the T-55AMD's 3BM25. I don't think you're comparing it to the Finnish one with M1000A1.

As far as "Made of paper", the swedish tree doesn't really do heavy tanks. There isn't much there that is really supposed to just sit in the open and soak up one hit after another.
The Strv 103's are fantastically trollish. Most of their light tanks are wonderful. Their best tank destroyer? The ItPs 473.
At 12.0, the Strv 122's and Ps274 are pretty good, too. Read more

As others have said, your primary lineups are going to be 7.7, the 8.3-9.3 bracket (maybe up to 9.7, if you really like the Vextra + AMX-40), and 12.0.
Personally, I like the 8.7 and 9.7 lineups. Read more

I actually did enjoy the 30B2 and Brenus. Sure- no stabilizer is a bit of an issue for on-the-move engagements, but at least unlike the 30B, you get darts and LRF.
My favorite part of the tree was probably the 9.3/9.7's, the AMX-32/120 and AMX-40.
Today we’ll be taking a look at the main reward in the Eye in the Sky vehicle event that started today: the Israeli Meteor FR Mk.9!
Meteor FR Mk.9: An Event Vehicle Jet Fighter for Israel at Rank V At a glance:
    • Four 20 mm cannons.
    • Large ammunition capacity.
    • Good rate of climb.
    • Ability to fire rockets.
    Vehicle History
The Meteor FR.9 modification was developed on the basis of the Meteor F.8 as a fighter-reconnaissance aircraft, where the nose could accommodate camera equipment. In the mid-50s, this aircraft modification began to be withdrawn from Royal Air Force service, causing Great Britain to sell some of the old aircraft to the Israeli Air Force. Almost all of the aircraft Israel received were converted into fighters, and their camera equipment was dismantled. In 1955, the Meteor FR Mk.9 became the first jet aircraft in the Israeli Air Force to achieve an aerial victory when it shot down two Egyptian Vampire fighters.
In the 1960s, the Meteor FR Mk.9 began to be used in secondary roles... Read more
