We mentioned in the ESO Direct Post Show that we would be doing a future test and add in some requested items, like Weapon, Assault, and Support Skill lines. So this is setting up some of the ground work for that. We will have official times at a later date.

Hi All, today (April 11, 2025) we completed a hotfix for the the following items:
  • Claiming the Prologue Quest on the Crown Store while using a gamepad no longer causes a book UI issue to appear.
  • When engaging with Reaper Strikes, you can now interact and destroy a Worm Cult Reaper Device after all enemies are defeated.
This issues should now be resolved. Thanks to those who flagged the issue and we hope you are enjoying the Prologue Quest!

Seasonal storylines are not what we wanted. Why would you even think people want to be forced to go through even more fomo? Having to play at your pace is anti-consumer.
For the record, the content does not disappear for seasons of the worm cult. You just get the parts at different times. But the content you can still take at your pace once it is live.

Hi folks, just wanted to provide a quick update. In-game code redemption has been enabled again, so you should be all clear to redeem your new monkey friends. Thank you for your patience as we worked through this.

Just wanted to echo what Rich said in the stream. The choice for 500 stackable slots is to make sure we maintain performance and not put additional stress on the server. This was a solid number to make sure we could provide the furnishing vault without causing a hit to performance.

Title says it all... Will they be announced later in the year or its over with new companions (what would be sad)?
No new companions to announce that this time. Companions are not done forever. Just not on the roadmap at this time as we have other goals we would like to accomplish with content this year.

I don't want to come off as entitled, and I know it's just a game, and I understand that game development is about time/resource/priority management, but Matt discussed this in his December letter and now it seems like it's still in early prototyping with no prospects of a release anytime soon. Meanwhile, we're seeing a lot of progress on a major new system that was not discussed publicly prior to today. it's just really frustrating to have been given hope for a change that would make the game fun to play, only to have it shoved aside for something that sounds fun but isn't nearly as important to a lot of us. It feels like a bait-and-switch. I'm here because I love this game and I want it to be better. I'm saying this because ESO matters to me. Please, I'm begging you guys to give overland difficulty options priority. I know it's complicated and controversial but it's something that will, for a lot of people, make the overland game actually fun to play for the first tim...

What about the overland difficulty increase?? Is that optional?
This is still being worked on and will be something we rollout later on.
I understand you can't go into detail but tons of players have been agonizing about this for months on end. Can you just let us know if the current plan is that this something players opt in to or a complete overhaul of difficulty in the game that everyone will experience? We don't need details. We know those can't be provided. We know that plans could be changed. But months of anxiety about that question has made left many players anxious and nervous and has completely colored anticipation. If there is anything at all to share on just that one question, it would do wonders to shape anticipation and discussion in a positive direction.
To be honest with you, giving any information at this point would be doing you and everyone else a disservice. We are too early in the prototyping process to ... Read more

Hi @ZOS_Kevin - just wanted to flag this for you again and that the new dark fissure types don't seem to be spawning for those of us who have completed the prologue quest. Will that happen after the livestream? THANK YOU for all you do!
We are investigating this now. Not sure about details yet as the team is digging into it. But once we have more info, we'll pass it along. Thanks for the callout!

@ZOS_Kevin since we can't reply in the Patch Notes and Hotfixes section, I'll just post this here... As per the hotfix notes you posted (screenshot below), the Archival Sacks of Provisioning were fixed as well. But what's not apparent is whether they've been dropping at a higher than intended rate the whole time, or did they see a bump at the same time the Jubilee Reward boxes started dropping and were simply lowered back to right before Jubilee levels. Could you please provide some clarification on this?
The drop rate was incorrect and dropping higher than it should have been at the start of the event. The hotfix was to bring it back inline with the intended drop rate from previous years. So not nerfing them, but bringing them back inline to be consistent. We know this is frustrating, but the team is trying to make sure there is consistency regarding the higher value drops. Read more

While the next few Golden Pursuits are mostly locked in at this point, we can pass feedback along about having some PvP and PvE tasks in one Golden Pursuit can be considered in the future.
As long as there's enough total pursuits to ensure that non-PvP folks such as myself can still get all the rewards. Like 35 things to choose from but you only need 20 for the top prize. I think the first or second one was balanced like that and it worked well so I could have fun with the PvE ones without setting foot in Cyrodiil.
The balance is one of the harder parts of a Golden Pursuit. We don't want this to feel like a burden to complete, so your feedback is noted. Just for a look behind the curtain, we are still learning and adjusting how we develop Golden Pursuits based on your feedback. The system has only been around for 6 months, so there is plenty to try and still learn from. So we are taking feedback and working with teams to make sure thes... Read more
Hi folks. Thanks for the follow up here. The issue overall is fixed. You do have to complete the achievement requirement again and it should be count the next time you complete it

When thinking about Golden Pursuits, we do try to pair them with activities happening or have general themes. This time, with Anniversary Jubilee happening, it was a good time to focus on PvE events. Not to mention we just had two PvP pursuits in a row. While the next few Golden Pursuits are mostly locked in at this point, we can pass feedback along about having some PvP and PvE tasks in one Golden Pursuit can be considered in the future.
Hi All, today (April 7, 2025) we completed a hotfix to resolve issues with the Bags of Jubilee Yesteryear. Additionally, we are adjusting the drop rate of some event reward box items that are not dropping at the intended rate.
  • Fixed an issue related to the Bags of Jubilee Yesteryear sometimes being empty if you hadn't collected all the pages of the Earthbone Ayleid outfit style.
  • Resolving an issue of highly valuable items in all event reward boxes dropping at an unintended higher rate. The corrected rate will impact highly valuable items in all event reward boxes as well as Archival Sacks of Provisioning, including Diminished and regular Aetherial Dust, Rubyblossom Extract, Perfect Roe, Cyrodiil Citrus, and Mourning Dew.
If you have any empty Bags of Jubilee Yesteryear, please make sure to submit a ticket with customer service to get your tickets refunded. Thanks for your patience as we resolved this matter. Read more
