If we see a proper trend in reports of improved performance I’ll be sure to raise a lot of flags. I know there was an nvidia driver update recently, and windows updates fly around all the time, all can bin or buff performance. It was just a small update, I’m not sure there were any engine changes, so peformance in the keep might be the only major difference?

There’s no progress saving on the modded realm (just FYI)
Looks like Steam went down last night, sorry for that. Should be solved now though!
The last couple of weeks have been shorter due to public holidays. Sometimes I can’t just write updates alone and need some input from others so I’d rather not put an update out than put out a nothingburger update.
A couple of days ago we put out an update which fixed the login crash some players experienced. Today we’re putting out a stability patch which resolves additional stability issues (including reported Weave crashes, a rare inventory crash and offline mode crash).

We are aware of an issue with a crash affecting many users in the latest update. We’re fixing the crash issue right now, but in the meanwhile there is a workaround.
NOTE: This workaround will not work for OFFLINE PLAY.
If you play ONLINE, you can go to “Manage game & add-ons” in the xbox dashboard -> Go to the “Save Data” tab and select the icon with our logo and your name on it -> Press start/options and select “delete save data” -> Select “delete everywhere”.
This will reset all your settings within the game but won’t affect your progress at all since it’s stored in our backend.
To reiterate; This only works for online play. Doing this workaround WILL REMOVE YOUR OFFLINE SAVE . We are working to resolve this without the need to delete the local save, so please hold tight if you wish to keep offline progression intact.
We will update here when we have information on the hotfix.

Hey! Yeah we are in the process of submitting the latest updates for review at Sony and Microsoft, but in order for it to go in, we had to update the ‘backend’ system to award shillings for quests and the like. So those will appear as [X] and you wont see any reward, but we’re counting up those shillings and they will be available when the emporium and Drachenfels goes live soon! Sorry for the confusion

Heroes,
Welcome to another Developer Update!
The Sharks are still working on from home and everyday we miss the office a little bit more. The water cooler chats and lunch catch-ups with colleagues of different teams are amongst the things that the Sharks are missing the most. Some miss the office enough to have recreated it in their spare time in Minecraft.
Last week we showed you a concept of a Premium Cosmetic hat that is in the works, and this week we wanted to talk you through another change that might come in the future.
Roamer-Spawns on Vermintide 2 Base Levels
One of the most recently revisited areas of Vermintide 2 is the Roamer Spawning on the Base Levels. Here is some of the most recent changes that might make it into the next update:
- Reduced the amount of mixed factions for roamers. There should be less intermingling with Skaven and Rotbloods roaming around.
- Removed the possibility of Beastmen spawning in most human settlements ...
I hear you, I doubt it’s impossible and that’s the kind of avenue we’d look to go down I suppose. It’s just a matter of time versus reward. Touching backend stuff like this is super risky and requires a whole bunch of testing. Right now it “works” and there are inherent risks in changing it. As I say, not impossible, but might be something we look at changing in an overhaul.
Read moreThere’s issues with the idea of salvaging more items than is currently possible, and these are limitations on the backend service we use. Only so many requests and actions can be ‘made’ in a given event, in this case, salvaging items. Allowing for more ‘things’ to be processed from an action (like Salvaging) just isn’t possible at the moment without generating errors.
