Update:

@BungieHelp: We believe we have identified the cause of this issue and are working on a fix internally. Destiny 2 will continue to be offline until we have a better understanding of the timeline for this fix. We will provide another update by 12 PM Pacific.

I haven't seen it mentioned on official channels yet, but it seems that the Pigeon and the Phoenix lore book is also gone, even though I went through the corridors of time over a week ago and got it all.

Seeing this too, but also reports that triumph score has not been lost. Could be related to the Corridors shutting down today.

In any case, we'll provide updates when we have more info. Our first priority right now is investigating the loss of currencies/materials. Next up will be triumphs.

We'll bring updates as quickly as we can.

Potential for servers to be brought down to prevent further loss of currencies.

Stay tuned to @BungieHelp for official comms.

The effort speaks volumes, and absolutely belongs on the Creations portal. Keep on drawing, growing, and creating.

These TWABs are really starting to come off as tone deaf this point. I don't mind them talking about patch previews and CoT, but regarding CoT, it sounds like Bungie is just patting themselves on the back and ignoring all of the backlash associated with the reward. If the TWAB isn't the place where Bungie wants to discuss community concerns openly, then where is? Comments on reddit? Doesn't seem like enough honestly.

It doesn't feel like there's a true conversation. Bungie will listen to us vent and say "we hear you" but instead of providing solutions with us, they try to solve the problem entirely on their own and lately have been missing the mark.

Edit: thanks dmg for responding. You can find my response below.

Apologies you feel that way.

A part of my role here is to address community feedback, but also be the bridge between developers and guardians. Throughout the puzzle, we saw players having a great time. Even after, we saw quite a few players asking for some behind the scenes stories on how it came together. This was an opportunity to shed some light on those questions.

We're indeed seeing the feedback on the Corridors going away, and Bastion being the reward. Whether it be feedback on the roadmap, the exotic itself, or other - we're sitting down with folks internally and walking through it. Could things change about the puzzle, exotic, or other? Maybe. Are these learnings going to educate future designs/seasons? Absolutely!

We made sure the following statement was in the TWAB specifically to speak to those who've commented on the reward:

Again, we want to thank everyone who participated in this puzzle or cheered from the sidelines. We’re actively monitoring and collecting your fe...

This Week at Bungie, the path was found.
The Corridors of Time have been charted. Guardians from around the world took on the monumental challenge of navigating time itself, some losing their minds in the process. We’d never shipped a puzzle of this size before, and watching the community engagement was a thrill in itself. We’ve seen a few requests for commentary on the creation and development of this puzzle. As always, we’re happy to invite you behind the scenes and share some of the thinking that goes into the experiences you play.
Destiny Dev Team: Over the past week, we’ve watched in awe as the community came together to solve one of Destiny’s most complex puzzles to date. Everyone who took the time to participate in the solution will be remembered for years to come – whether you submitted a screenshot, transcribed puzzle pieces, generated maps, wrote code, worked the data, or cat-wrangled this monumental team effort. Please take a moment to congratulate yourselves. ...

Damn no mention of the unholy lag when switching mods

Nothing to report at this moment. Team is aware. Once we have some info on an investigation, we'll let you know!

I have encountered this as well, in a few activities. I'll be sure to send this report over to the team, but I believe they're in the process of investigating this perf issue, among others.

Will give updates when we can!

Hey all,

After a quick investigation, looks like this was impacting all three of the solar ornaments (Hunter, Warlock, and Titan). The team has disabled the ability to purchase the 800 Silver versions, and we will be issuing refunds to those who were overcharged. The 500 silver versions will continue to be available on the seasons page.

Thanks for the post & screenshot, OP! This is indeed a bug.

Thank you for the feedback. We'll continue to pass it along.

More specifically:

  1. Reputation granted from Telemetry Data does not feel appropriate

  2. Some highly desirable ghost shells have undesirable perks

This is wonderful.

As a question to all, how do you feel about the current catalysts on alternate exotics?

Some give basic stat boosts, where others give alternate functionality.

This ties in to some of the exotic quest feedback we're getting right now, where some people appreciate the lore but wanted more in terms of depth. If a catalyst is appreciated due to kill count/gold box, but doesn't bring much change to the exotic itself, would it incur the same poor feedback?

Would love y'alls thoughts.

Thanks for the feedback - this ties in to a lot of threads at the beginning of Shadowkeep, where players were asking for the world loot pool to be refreshed. While we've added some reprised weapons, many players feel they're out of reach due to the pool size.

Will pass this along!

Some bugs can share the same priority levels, but one bug with a larger amount of conversation takes longer to fix due to the complexity of the issue. Other times, bugs with a loud conversation can go on without a fix for lengthy amounts of time, as the cost to address it could override the actual benefit.

In terms of player beneficial bugs, I'd like to give an example of an issue that was just discovered that may be fixed in a shorter amount of time than expected. Players can currently hide their weapons/arms, which is leading to some pretty cool content creation. While this bug is benefiting players, it's actually causing issues with memory in the game. The team is investigating the full impact, but things like this could lead to nasty issues the more that players use the bug in public areas. Think error codes, crashes, or other. I admit from a personal side, I'm sad to see the bug needs to be fixed, but a cursory look at the issue indicated a fairly low wake fix (low time to implement, test, and ship) on something that a designer was already looking at.

Another would be the Wormgod Caress. We quickly disabled the Exotic, and are investigating the issue for a future patch. While players were having some fun annihilating bosses, Gambit/Gambit Prime was slowly becoming an issue where players could kill the Primeval in a very short amount of time without many slayer stacks. It was exciting to see players breaking the game in fun and new ways, but there was wider impact than just raids or nightfall bosses. As such, we had to disable access to the exotic, even though the conversation around it was fairly positive out the gate.

I've told the story about the Mercury Sparrow issue a few times, but that's another good example of a highly visible community request where the cost of a fix would have negatively impacted other areas of the game.

As for the Sunbreaker issue, I'll check with the team. I don't mean for the explanations above to be excuses of why we aren't addressing this one specifically. Rather, it could be that we've developed a fix in the past that ended up breaking in another hotfix. It could be caused by connection issues, which would require a rework of the perk. Performing the quick google search is showing me quite a few posts from 2015 and 2016, but it seems the report volume has dropped, so the issue wasn't on our radar. If the repro rate is low enough internally, the priority of the investigation may drop as other issues arise in development on other items that haven't shipped yet.

In any case, we'll get a conversation started with the team and provide updates when possible.

Following up!

Looks like the team has been investigating for a bit, and they're planning to address this in future hotfix. Don't have specific details on the changes they're developing or when exactly to expect it, but will be sure to cover it in a patch note preview.

There's a lot of confirmation bias in this idea that bungie fixes player benefiting bugs and not player hurting bugs. They fix both, just read all the patch notes and you'll see that.

Part of the issue is the game breaking bugs that let you do insane damage completely ruin the player experience in certain activities. That's not really true of one ability on one subclass tree not working sometimes. So the former rightly gets higher priority.

Some bugs can share the same priority levels, but one bug with a larger amount of conversation takes longer to fix due to the complexity of the issue. Thanks for the post. We've been seeing a few similar threads about difficulty, or the lack thereof, for players deep in to the endgame. Will continue to pass it along!

Welcome back! Any chance we could get some thoughts from the Crucible team in the next TWAB? It doesn't have to be anything too juicy, just some acknowledgement from them would be cool. Even if we don't get that specifically, it'd still be nice to hear from them and what their plans are for it.

I think a lot of us would really appreciate a more open line of communication between that part of the team and the community.

Also, Bones of Eao when?

What specifically would you like to see?

Now, before we get ahead of ourselves, this isn't a promise for a Crucible section next TWAB. This is another way of me asking for your feedback.

We've got points on matchmaking and rewards. Today we spoke to Game Security, which will help to remove more players who are cheating. What else would do you feel needs priority?

You guys announcing something Monday?

Nope. Monday's the day after a weekend, when we get back in the office.
