Tamers, remember today's test is a STRESS TEST. The goal is to break the servers so we can gather data and analyze how to improve them.
We know you're super eager to get an early look at Temtem, but you need to be aware that today you will probably face some problems.
Due to the Stress Test nature, you're expected to find connectivity problems, long queues to enter the game, lag or delays while playing and probably some other problems too.
You should adjust your expectations having all these in mind.

Restarted the server again. We've made some more fixes that should help with loading times.
Don't worry about bug reporting, we're aware of the issues and all of them are related to the problems the server is having.
If you've got to a point where you're softlocked, you can try resetting your character (Settings/Game/Reset character).
We've fixed some issues with the last reset but if you're in a wrong state you'll need to reset.

If you aren't able to reset your character, try going to the initial bedroom and doing all the cinematics again. After picking (for the second time) the starters you should be able to reset.
If you lost your progress after the latest server restart, just restart the game. It should be fixed.

Addressing some of the feedback we've seen during the test
❓Screen flashes
🔸We'll add an option to disable them on the Early Access release.
❓Character creation
🔸We're going to tweak the options available on release to have more variety (especially in hair options).
❓Searching for friends
🔸You will be able to search for other users and add them as friends in a future update. You will also be able to tag some of them as favorites and the server will prioritize to be put together with them.
❓Soft locking / Double starters / Save issues
🔸We detected some problems with the server not properly saving the progress made so after resetting it you were back to a previous state. We'll fix this issue during the week before the next test.

🔧We made ~12 hotfixes in the server (including several controlled restarts) to fix some of the issues that appeared during the Stress test.
Most of the problems appeared after the server was degraded by some bugs we had. The server never surpassed over 25% of hardware usage.
🎢We peaked at ~20k users (~14k ingame + ~6k in the queue). Almost 38k unique users joined the test.
We tweaked several times the maximum allowed users to test how the queue was working.
🤓Some useful and some useless data gathered during the past Stress Test.
🐾The most picked starter was Houchic (with an impressive 46.5% rate). Followed by Crystle (31.5%) and Smazee (22%).
Tuwai had a 100% rate.
🐦28 620 Temtem were captured.
The most captured one: Paharo!
1 003 Temtem evolved during the test.
❤️64.5% of the players chose he/his as their pronoun. 29.5% chose she/her and 6% they/them.
No matter their gender or pronoun, 100% of the stress test participants were in fact... stressed out.
💢Max won 100% of the Temtem battles. They also won a big amount of staring contests.
But the real MVP? The black screen of death. At least it allowed you to listen to the beautiful soundtrack by @_damiansanchez
💬Over 600 channels streamed the test on Twitch with 5370 viewers. Most of the stream time was waiting times and black screens.
During the 4 hours of the test, we got almost 3.5k mentions on our twitter.
📣Our Discord server exploded with 3k new users and over 70k messages during the day of the stress test.
On the other hand, our Discord mods lifespan were reduced by 23 days on average due to the stress caused.
We love you mods, thank you for your hard work.

If you're locked before a battle or after the character creation wait a bit, we're working on it!
We're restarted the server, hotfixes for the locking issues.
After every restart you'll face a queue, but it will let you in very quickly (~one minute).
If you're in the lab and can't interact with the professor or anything, go to the initial house and everything should be reset.
If you're stuck against Max, close the game. Delete this folder:
%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Crema\Temtem
Enter the game and go to the initial house.
We're going to restart the server and force a save recheck when you reconnect. Let's hope that fix the issues!

Looks like there's an issue in battles with the new server config, We're going into maintenance while we fix the issue!

We're checking the server and noticed some problems being caused by players with really poor connections which are causing slow response times for other users.

We're restarting the server with a couple of hotfixes while we're working on some bigger fixes.
Apart from the server games we've detected other three main problems:
- Getting softlocked on battles while being on coop.
- Getting out of bounds after a reconnect.
- Losing your Tems after a server restart.
We're investigating the issues and solving cases we see.
Currently most of the lag issues are solved and everyone in-game are playing normally without problems.
We're working on some additional fixes to increase the amount of people the server can handle (hopefully reaching 25k soon).
We're also working on the bugs previously stated.
We're working on a new patch that will fix:
- Black screens after creating a character
- Getting out of bounds after a reconnection
And it will also have some more optimizations that will allow us to decrease the queue!
We're starting doing a new build. This one will include fixes for the black screen after character creations, users out of bounds and several optimizations and improvements between the server and client (in order to improve queue times).
We had some troubles with the build and we're now preparing a new one. Expect the patch in ~30min.

We've pushed another hotfix to try and solve another co-op bug.
The latest hotfix solved some cases but there are still some more.
In order to avoid issues when creating the co-op party the best option is going inside a house (or a Temporium) and start the co-op request inside there.

We will be push a hotfix for the server soon fixing medicine items not working properly and some other stuff we've found.
We're also aware that some users are losing their Tems. Don't worry about them! Your tems are safe. The problem is only between the client and the server but all your tems are correctly saved in the server.
We're looking at all data and will try to fix the issue asap.
If you got a problem while teaching a new move to your team and it didn't register... Worry not!
You can always swap moves going into your Squad and checking the details of your Temtem.
We've pushed a hotfix solving medicine items.

Based on our data, problems related with technique swapping and/or learning should be fixed too with the previous hotfix.

We've fixed the quest progress of everyone stuck in the Beached Narwhal quest after giving a Toxolotl.
You should be able to deliver a new Toxolotl and get the reward. We will push a patch fixing this issue (and some others) today.
We've also fixed everyone stuck after defeating Max and not getting Tuwai.
You'll need to restart the game in order to fix the problem.

- Add your partner as a friend
- In the Friends screen, mark them as favorite
- Enter a house
You should be together, start the co-op then.

We'll be looking at some new fixes made in this latest patch so it's possible there are further server resets and maintenances in the upcoming hours.
Don't freak out and start screaming everywhere. We will be looking at breeding prices and tweak them if needed, they were just too low before.
Balance changes are needed in a live game like Temtem. I know it sucks to see increased prices and the first easy reaction is just to freak out but let's try it, see how the new prices work out and if they don't, we'll tweak them again.
We've done some tweaks in the server's performance during the latest patch and we've been increasing the max allowed players ever since.
Right now we're currently on 35k users without any problems or lag issues, yay!

We pushed a hotfix to the server in order to prevent a couple of exploits that users discovered on the FreeTem!
Friendly reminder that abussing exploits, using bots or macros or using any kind of cheats/hacks can get you banned from the game.

We've detected an issue affecting releasing of Tems from the Temdeck boxes or from the capture screen.
As a workaround, and while we investigate the issue, you can move the Tem from the box to the Squad and release them from there. That should work.
We just released a small patch (0.5.8) fixing the issue with Tems not wanting to be released.
In the end, I was right about 0.5.8 being released today, yay me.

If you're experiencing FPS issues on the new version, try tweaking the "Frame Rate On Background" option in the settings.
That option should only affect while you're tabbed out of Temtem, but it looks like some users are experiencing fps drops even when tabbed in.
We're going to prepare a new small patch to fix the issues with alt-tabbing introduced in the latest one.

We've detected a issue when releasing Tems from the firsts positions on the Temdeck. They weren't being properly released but they looked like they were. We're going to send back those Tems to their owners.
Maybe you can take advantage of this situation and rethink if you really want to release that Tem?

And we're not done with this, we will keep detecting and banning.
There's no place in the Archipelago for cheaters.
We just completed our first batch of banned users. Almost 900 players have been permanently banned from Temtem.
Bans are final, we won't answer or review any ban appeal. We've made 100% sure that every banned user is either a cheater or has abused exploits intentionally.
The team spent all morning checking banned accounts and player accounts saying "they didn't do anything illegal". We re-checked over 100 accounts.
Every single one of them was a legit ban.
Don't trust cheaters. They just want to know more info about the ban in order to avoid it next time they're using cheats.
They will lie about everything in order to get more info and the minimal possibility of getting unbanned.
And no, you're not going to get banned for casually finding a bug or an exploit. Only players intentionally and repeatedly ABUSING exploits are banned.
If you play in a regular way you're OK. We've made 100% sure before doing any bans and every data we've checked confirms that.

We've just fixed ~80 accounts that were stuck in several places due to a bug in the co-op teleport feature we introduced back in 0.5.9
If you were stuck in the Narwhal quest, before or after it. Chances are your situation should be solved.
If you still can't progress your main quest due to the bug (having made progress in co-op, breaking the party and can't progress further) please, send us an email to [email protected] subject "Co-op stuck", include your Tamer ID and explain your case.
Please note that being stuck in a battle while in co-op is a different bug and you don't need to send us an email for that problem.

We've made another server restart and fixed one more issue.
🔸 Users were able to adjust quantities on certain items while trading without the other user getting notified of the change.
In addition to this, we're working on a Trade improvement that will add a countdown after the trade is done during which users will be able to review if everything is correct and cancel the trade if they see something suspicious.
This improvement will arrive in the next patch.

We are fixing the issues regarding egg moves on Saipark Temtems missing the right icon, and being lost if players changed it and opened/closed the details.

We've published a new patch (still the same version, 0.5.18). It includes just a couple of fixes introduced in the previous patch, most notably a visual bug resulting in not seeing the pansun ranked rewards under certain circumstances.
Make sure your client is updated!
