Have never had this happen until the latest update. I host and my girlfriend is the farmhand, and in the past few days since we updated to 1.4.5 she gets disconnected at random. Usually less than every 20 minutes. We are sitting next to each other on the same wifi, same internet speeds confirmed my speed tests, same versions of the game. This problem is really annoying and I have seen others on this subreddit saying they are having this problem as well! Anyone have a fix?
Hi, sorry you are experiencing issues. Are you certain it only started after the 1.4.5 update?
If you are both playing on Steam, I have something I will ask you to try.
Everyone who is playing multiplayer together must do the following:
In Steam library, right click on Stardew Valley, and select "Properties"
Select the "Betas" tab
In the Field labeled "Enter beta access code to unlock private beta", type "testSDKupdate" (no quotes)
press "Check Code"
Select the "stats" beta from the drop down menu.
Press Close. Stardew Valley should now update, and the title in the library should have a [stats] label next to it
Then try playing as normal. Please let me know if the disconnects still happen or if there was any change to them.
