I'm personally going on 450+ (albeit I am unlucky) kc since RooT release (improved drop rate) and have received 1 egg.
Keep an eye out for the patchnotes on Monday!

They aren’t actually that rare. Compared to pre-release the rates were drastically changed. 1 egg in 450 kills means you’re just unlucky and have gone over the drop rate several times.
As Poerkie has already said though, watch for the patch notes on Monday.
