There have now been 5 posts, including one 3 months ago with a Jmod reply that achieved nothing.
Basically - to use the Tower of life most efficiently, you need to be able to get unnoted drops in order to use them on the altar to spawn another monster. The comp cape rework tied the noting effect of the Ardougne cape to the player, so it now permanently has the noting effect active meaning you need to bank significantly more often when using the tower. Please for the love of god fix this
When this was raised shortly after Comp Rework we discussed that we'd try not to add any/more exceptions to how benefits from capes worked regarding the Comp cape - which is why this hasn't been changed since.
However, I've just now made a feedback job to look into this and see what changes we can make. I can't tell you right now what those changes are or when it'll come, however. if you have any suggestions other than "only apply when wearing the Ardougne Cape" though feel free to reply to this comment :)
Honestly, having a toggle at the altars to turn on/off the noting feature entirely would be amazing.
Nice, i also saw some suggestions about allowing noted items on the altar. I'll try and get a list together for considerations
its always important to make exceptions.
Exceptions can be good and Runescape is a game built on it, but it sometimes also creates annoying interactions and can make general understandings fuzzy.
I.e. why does my X urn work with every skilling method for this skill except these 2 methods? or why does this thing that requires i wear gloves allow every single glove except these 3 gloves

This makes me think back to picking belladonas that you've grown. You have to wear gloves, and I think the farmers' cuffs didn't count for a while until an exception was made for them.
