Came back to the game after a three year break. Now I’m trying to find zanik for one of the Varrock tasks. He is suppose to change my soul wars cape color but he’s not at soul wars. He’s also not at Dorgesh-Kaan.

That variant won't change Soul Wars capes. It's likely neither would the two in the Behind the Scenes bar in Gower Quest.
