Hello /r/RealmRoyale fam,

I decided to download this game out of complete boredom on Sunday, wasn’t expecting much maybe just a few hours of entertainment.

Since Sunday, I’ve played 224 games and logged 51 hours. I’m completely obsessed. I had a few friends who were playing Apex but since I didn’t really enjoy Apex, I slowly convinced them to try Realm Royale. Obviously, they absolutely loved it and we play daily. We currently have a squad of around 6 people (we split up squad/duo) and I’m really happy about it.

The game offers so many unique feels and mechanics. The forging system is far and beyond the best mechanic I’ve witnessed in a BR game; creating high traffic and important areas for teams to fight in while also encouraging people to roam to other forges to create additional items. Even small additions such as riding around with the boys on horseback really makes you feel like you stepped into a classic old school MMO as you traverse the map. Lastly, the spells feel unique and fairly balanced, each one serving a purpose and the loadout system gives you control over what spells you want to specialize in.

I’ve done my research, I’ve heard all the bad things people say, (PS4 Bugs, Bots, Weird hitboxes) but regardless the game is a blast. I’m supposed to be sleeping right now off night shift so I could wake up on time to see the live patch notes but I felt I had to write a blurb.

I think Hi-Rez nailed it with this game and my friends and I agree that it’s highly under-rated. Hope to see some nice high quality updates today during the patch! Thanks for reading!
