(2022) heads up: apparently the monday after league launch is a national non-working holiday in NZ

Okay, so initially I was going to be cheeky about this, but the automod filtered it out due to having not enough characters, so I figured might as well be more serious about it.

Feb 6 is Waitangi Day in NZ. It's an official, non-working holiday. This is 2 days after league launch.

idk if GGG plans to work on that day because it's so close to a major league launch; or, if they plan to take the day off in the interest of work-life balance and being able to rest. Either way seems reasonable.

So I'm just posting this if anyone cares, because we all know what has happened in the past when a new league launches and concerns are not addressed as quickly as players hoped they would be. Maybe by knowing ahead of time that Feb 6 is a NZ holiday, those who care about that kind of stuff can compartmentalize any potential concerns they might have about it ahead of time.

Cheers exiles.

The staff needed for fixing stuff will be around.

I wish everyone did get off for the holiday. Can we do something to help change the release schedule so this doesnt happen again?

In New Zealand, when an employee works a public holiday they get time and a half pay and a paid day off to use later. Also there are 11 public holidays in NZ per year so it would be hard to schedule around them. We actually had one last Monday as well.
