Path of Exile Dev Tracker
The original teaser for the favorited maps indicated some great increase in desired maps, but I've seen rumors/chatter that the launch version is either broken or underwhelming.
Having already bricked my atlas partially (I was working towards region completion so was doing all maps), what are your experiences with favorited maps' drop rates? Is it worth continuing to brick my atlas further, or should I stop and try to salvage what I have?

Thanks! Could you also get clarification if the increase is meant to be only within the region, or is it global? Like if we 3x favorite a map in New Vastir and nowhere else, will the game say:
- "you have maps in many regions unlocked for this tier, and so your favorite map is 30x more likely"
or
- "Your map is 30x more likely ONLY if you were to get a map of that tier in New Vastir, and a mapdrop from a different region doesn't care about favorites"
The first is correct: It's global.
