That's intended. Skills that can't possibly work with traps/totems/mines are unsupportably without separately listing a specific restriction. As a common example, the Aura skills don't specify they can't be used by traps (because the traps die after using the skill, so couldn't survive to spread the aura), but don't specify this because it's implied by the way the skill works.In this case, a totem or trap which casts Brand Recall would not be casting anything else, and thus could not have brands to recall.
