I really hope this is addressed in 3.7 and not held off for 3.8
Bad launches/leagues happen when there's too much to do at the same time. Taking time away from 3.7.0 and doing stuff hastily at the last minute is probably the wrong choice. We haven't worked out yet when this potential change is going in though (or even if we're actually committing to doing it yet!)
Who has the most outrageous battlestation at work?
It's about keyboards. There's just so much competition between developers to have the craziest keyboards.
Any chance of pictures? :). I've gotten very deep in the /r/mechanicalkeyboards rabbit hole.
This is current my work board. TADA68 with Tai-hao Miami keycaps and Cherry Brown switches. It also features Sally and Smitherson, who can be seen in more detail in this pre-installation pic.
I'm working on building a modified version of a Dactyl - I have the 3D-printed shell parts, but there's still lots of sanding to do before it's ready to actually build. Will use Kalih Box Royal switches so that once I adapt to using it I can take that one to work and build a new one with proper clicky switches (probably Box Navies) to use at home where it won't annoy coworkers.
I have these keycaps ready for the dactyl when it's finished.

Do you guys use mechanical keyboards in an open office? Doesn't it get too loud?
I'd love to use a mechanical keyboard at work, instead of the crappy low profile Apple one, but I think everybody in the office would hate me D:
Not all mechanical switches are clicky. I use clicky switches at home my personal prefernece, but tactile switches, which still give the same feeling of feedback when pressed without the audio feedback of the loud clicking noise, at work.
what kind of keyboard is your home one?
Ducky One with Cherry Blue switches. The keycaps are GMK Laser by Mito. The spacebar I got individually from Massdrop, don't remember the maker.
Did Plague of Frogs inspire your key caps or are you the reason we have that prophecy?

I got the frogs here, dunno if they'll be available again. The rest should be avaialble somewhere with googling.
Check out the Azeron Keypad - just got mine for around 110 euro, looks really similar to the Data Hand but boy does it have a learning curve

How the fuck do you use a thumb roller mouse? I watched my buddy play WoW with that shit, and was just amazed at how well he used it.
The trackball is new, I'm still getting used to it. Big movements of the cursor and straight lines are easier, fine control is still lacking, but improving. Not sure if I'll stick with it long term yet.
what switches specifically do you use at work? i really want to get a mechanical keyboard at work but obviously not blue switches since they are so loud.
already bought key dampeners, just in case, but can't really decide what to get, since keyboard with brown switches tend to be a bit more expensive than blues (at least here in germany)
Currently I use Cherry browns, looking at Kalih box royals for my next board.

It seems like you've already hit the point of no return when it comes to mechanical keyboards.
Are you planning to handwire the dactyl? I know someone did a flexible PCB at one point in time which was very interesting. Are you planning to get an SA keycap set to use with the dactyl? I noticed the artisans you have planned for it are SA profile.
Is there a story behind all the frogs? Haha.
Yeah, planning to handwire it, just seems easier than all the stuff for setting up the flexible PCB. Haven't finalised what profile of keycaps I'll be using, I am a big fan of SA profile in general and will almost certainly be using that for the thumb clusters, but I might end up with something else on the main parts of the board.
