The final 256 players from Saturday's event will be re-invited to compete.
128 from each location or how will this be decided? The GDZ ending zone was also a shitshow with the bigger clan using the pause and instant unpause to take out any high level player in the area
As it stands I believe it'll be the final 128 from each location, but the GDZ ending zone is something to consider. We'll have a think about how we'd like to tackle that.
Im not 100% sure on the details but to my understanding when you paused after the 128 from fally got gassed there were still more than 128 in the GDZ zone alive. Obviously the pause got abused to take out all high levels from the smaller clans who could have also won, so if you just take the last 128 remaining after the pause that would be unfair.
I think you should probably manually check the remaining players and remove low level bolt raggers and put all high levels with good gear into the 1v1s.
Otherwise you pretty much just hand money to the same clan that already benefited from the bug/pause again.
I'll make sure we keep all that in mind when it comes to inviting the players. Appreciate the input.
As someone who doesn’t participate in DMM I really hope all their PvP updates/dev time isn’t spent solely on the gamemode, with little attention to the main game PvP.
They won't be. We completely understand that the DMM and PvP, while they have some crossover, are both stand alone initiatives and we will address them as such.

It'll remain open, but I expect it'll remain untouched until we do determine what we'd like to do with Deadman/PvP.

If you have the logs and its possible inviting the final 512 instead would only add one extra round and could be seen as more fair
Increasing the 1v1s to 512 would be a considerable undertaking.
It would be possible to invite 512 and have another fog stage.
Not everyone from the top 256 will be able to show up. I suggest putting those who died earlier than the top 256 on a waitlist to join the redone 1v1s. For example, the last player to die at gdz before the 1v1s would have highest priority to fill the empty spots from gdz, then next priority would be the second to last to die, etc. We're gonna see a lot of bye rounds if there isn't people to fill the spots of those who can't attend the redo.
It's a valid point that some players might not be able to attend, but adding another layer of uncertainty with the advent of a brand new priority/wait list mechanic isn't something we're keen to do. We'd sooner invite more people to the fog/final two area stage.
They should have the same prize pool for the re-run though. They said they're still determining the prize pool, and if it isn't basically the same as the original prize it's still a big slap in the face to everyone who got screwed.
Mod Acorn has been talking to the players affected and they are collaboratively agreeing on prizing. More details will come when this is finalized.
Without a doubt the prizing will be in the multiple-thousands of dollars, minimum. Winning a year of membership would literally be the biggest slap in the face.
You are absolutely right. It would be a significant cash prize and not membership.
