We had some unexpected issues with the Rewards service this morning. We are actively investigating, and I will post an update shortly.

Quick ninja edit - the issue has been identified. All of the games which were watched earlier today have still been recorded, you should get credit over the next 48 hours for that watchtime.

Unfortunately there is no set "source" for issues on rewards :(

It's a pretty complicated service with dependencies across both the game (for missions) and on watch.lolesports.com itself. While we have made substantial updates to the quality of Rewards, whenever major changes happen to either the game or watch it has the potential for breaking Rewards too.

However, this has been an ongoing thing since the final weeks of the Summer Split for me, where LEC and LCK live games and vods just wouldn't work for my NA account.

There may be specific issues with your configuration, especially if you are using tools like uBlock / blocking all JS etc.

Can you reproduce those same issues if you are watching on a "clean" browser?

What happened? We made a mistake that prevented you from getting credit. We fixed this issue and you should be able to get credit by watching VODs and live matches now. You may not be able to get credit for rewatching a VOD you watched earlier while missions were not working. Read on to the what's gonna happen section for how we're going to fix this.

What's gonna happen? We are working to grant mission credit to those who watched at least 10 minutes of Worlds while logged in, no matter when you watched, so you don't need to puzzle together what you may have already watched or not to get credit. We'll do it for you. This should happen within the next couple days and I'll update this thread once it's complete.

Things should be smooth here on out now. Your adblocker is very likely not an issue, but as always, look through this FAQ article to make sure it's nothing on your end. If you go through this list and it's still not working for you, it's likely something on our end like it was today.

If you experience any other issues, gimme your frustrations in this thread and we'll work to help you out. Preferably watch mission issues, but if you want help with literally anything else, sure why not I'll give it a shot.

earlier today and yesterday evening (8h and ~24h ago as of writing this post) the entire lolesports page refused to load when ublock origins was activated. Was that caused by the same issue? It loads perfectly now despite the adblocker

Yes! This was a change on uBlock that broke some of our site. Should be fixed now :)

1. The guy you're talking to is on the technical side of the client/website. He's the wrong person to talk to about meta.

2. Maybe you're watching the wrong games. There's been only 6 games. In those 6 I've seen Gangplank, Renekton, Gnar (sorta). Plenty of melee top.

I agreed to try and help with anything. I'm the wrong person to talk to about this but that won't stop me from offering advice on things I shouldn't give advice about.

There have definitely been some wonky picks in top. My uninformed guess is that popular bruise-y melee toppers like Gnar & Gatorman need an early lead to press their advantage into the mid game before they get outscaled by most bot lane carries. If their power spike is delayed long enough, then they end up not being relevant (or way less relevant) when they finally come online, hence why we're seeing safe but abusive folks like Kennen, Tristana, and Karma up there. Maybe we'll see Caitlyn top; that'd be a fun to watch scribbles in the script

When logged in to the website, once i go to the VOD section the website will automatically log me out and redirect me to watch it logged out. Is this a known issue or a way to correct this?

I have not heard of that bug, it sounds unpleasant :(

Have you tried incognito mode / a different browser to see if it is an issue with your specific config?

I have a sideways related question. On the Rewards page it indicates I have watched 458 games for 434 hours watched. Does the latter figure only include game time, or does it include the desk segments/PGL, etc?

The latter figure is represented by the former in your question.

(only game time, no show segments)

Update: Earlier this week, we reprocessed those who were unable to complete their mission on the first day of Worlds, where we had Watch Mission issues. If you still have not completed your mission, PM me your summoner name (edit: and region) and we'll take a look.
