(2019) Clash Tier should be based on your highest rank, not a mixture of both.

Hear me out twitch chat,

Right now, Clash Tier is based off of 4 things IIRC;

  1. SoloQ Rank
  2. FlexQ Rank
  3. MMR
  4. Clash History

Now most of these are fine ways to class someone, right. But one thing disturbs me, it is that SoloQ and FlexQ ranks are merged in order to create one and help decide of your Clash Tier.

Why is that an issue? Many people, including me, play FlexQ with IRL (let's just say they are usually not that good at the game) and play it very casually, as a result, my FlexQ rank is Silver 4, whereas my SoloQ rank is Diamond 4.

As a result, I, the high elo Diamond 5 god is forced to play with lowly Tier 2, Platinum 3's and 4's, since Riot decided I am Tier 2.

Also, one of my friends who is Platinum 3 in SoloQ and Iron in Flex (let's just say he trolled a bit) is Tier IV, which is kinda sad no cap.

I am pretty sure a lot of people have similar cases, and, well, think that just taking your highest rank (Example, in my case, take my high elo Diamond 5 rank) instead of mixing both.

Am I right, Twitch chat?

It's not Flex and Solo together. It's the highest of either Flex or Solo and then previous Clash history is taken into account.
