Was in a middle of an ARAM game and was shut down. I am proud to say that, Garena LoL is now dead.
PH Server is kinda lag rn stabling around 150ms because apparently the server is connected to OCE.
New IP space. We are waiting on ISPs to wake up and respond to us regarding some routing issues but should have this all solved in the next day.
THE PING IS SO ABYSMAL HOLY
Which shard and which ISP are you using? We're working through a bunch of routing issues to the new IP address ranges at the moment.
Im not sure what you mean by shard but my isp is pldt. Ohh so this will be fixed, wont be playing for a while then thank you

PH ISP problems should be all resolved. Post below if you are still having problems (along with your ISP name). Latency will be ~20-30ms higher than before as these servers are running from Hong Kong for now. Moving those closer is the longer term improvement that is mentioned.
Are there any plans to merge servers? Singapore looks like it's still going to be mostly dead.

Still having issues with Converge (200ms)

fluctuating between 90 and 150ms. problem is the stability honestly. used to have 5ms ping back in garena but i'll honestly be satisfied at 50ms. just need it to be consistent.
ISP: PLDT
If this keeps up, please log a fault with PLDT. Their statistics overall are good and stable and we are connected to them in Manila so there should be no other factors outside of their influence happening here.

Since I'm based in HK, would ping be lower if I played in the PH server compared to the TW server? I know the difference is pretty much negligible but just curious...
Yes but only until the PH servers are moved.
ISP: PLDT
Used to have 6ms on garena PH but now its just a stable 190ms. Hope it can go down soon.
Please post a traceroute (tracert) to 103.240.227.1 if you know how. DM to me is fine. I do not see any issues in our PLDT metrics.

Can you share with me a traceroute / tracert to 103.240.227.1 and also please log a fault with Converge so they are aware this is still a problem (high ping to league of legends). Customer pressure will help us in getting them to treat this with a little more urgency. Thanks.
I play from India, used to get 43 ping on singapore servers because I live close to the coast compared to the northern parts of India who get like 70-ish ping. But now I'm getting 82 ping on I think Riot's sinagpore servers, I believe the ping is worse for inland Indian players can you please take a look?
This is probably going to be something we look into next week. Our focus right now is on improving the specific routing for the countries these shards are meant to service and then we'll be able to look at routing for India.
You'll need to include your ISP and City location for us to be able to do anything about it as well.

I do have a question. Are there plans to relocate the servers back on the Philippines? Playing on 30ms is quite different from playing on 1ms.

Yes the servers will eventually move back to PH. This will take months to arrange as we are waiting on infrastructure builds to be finished but is planned.

This should now be fixed (30-40ms probably depending on your location inside PH).
I still have stable 200ms with Converge ICT

Hello korensky, i am from the vietnam region and we are having seriously high ping with massive packet loss. Will this be resolved by tomorrow? And will we have the same ping as we used to have? Cause going from 10ms to 40ms is pretty sad
Servers in VN are not ready yet so they're in Hong Kong for now. Probably a few weeks. You shouldn't have packet loss however. Which ISP are you using?

Internet connection is fast and fine outside of League but ping fluctuates at 30 - 200

Hong Kong until the physical builds in VN can be finished in a few weeks.
ISP: Dasca (Local Cavite Internet services) Used to be 2-10ms now it's 260ms it upped by a landslide but it'll go down soon

Are you able to give a time window for "longer term improvement"? And is bringing single-digit latency back possible by then?
We will likely be doing optimization work in the region up until April. There should be announcements when we hit specific milestones like moving server locations into country. Stability is our primary focus right now as we have just made a lot of huge changes in a lot of places in a very short period of time. These routing problems are hard for us to find until we have live traffic and we solve each of them in a way that we hopefully don't need to make another change once the servers move into the country. We don't want players to go via HK from PH and back again once we have the in-country build done.
My ping with Garena was reasonable at around 50ms. After migration my ping is 230ms. Anyone know what the deal is with that? Im on the Singapore 2 server. I live in Cambodia.

i need help isp pldt my ping used to be around 30 peak now its 80-90
You will need to report this to PLDT directly now. This is not due to the routing between our networks. We have advised them of this also.
Edit: I’ve asked them if they can provide me some sort of fault reference number so you can link your case to ours (and so other players can do the same).
I don't think they're in Hong Kong. I played a game and most of the packets go to AUS.
I'm pretty sure I know where they are. There was an initial routing issue where some providers were sending this IP space to Australia as these are old IP address blocks from the original OCE data center.
There are some errors when routing packets in Vietnam, leading to some providers sending packets to Australia, some to HK.
Can you show me anywhere this is still happening? This was resolved within the first few hours of the servers going live.

u/RiotKorensky I currently have perma 90 ping being on PLDT, PH server.
You need to report this to PLDT. We have worked with ePLDT who do their enterprise side and they claim there is no issue. We connect to them directly in Manila. This is something in their environment we can’t get an answer on.

If you’re still having problems it’s probably you. Have you contacted your ISP or Riot player support? Those would be good first steps.
its still high, getting 80ms consistently
The servers for PH are still in HK. There are a few submarine cable cuts still impacting the direct path (AAG is the system I think) which should be resolved in early May. I’ll look into it again and see what we can carry for them on our own links but this looks like they might be balancing some traffic out via alternate paths that aren’t as short. The AAG cable segment between HK and PH has had 5 separate faults over the past 7-9 months which have been blowing the restoration time out.
idk if you guys knew about this bug, but during the day, whenever I play League, the ping would go to 80ms, then I would close the loading screen (after pick and bans) and the ping would go back to 29ms, but its only during the day, when I play 8pm onwards the ping would stay at 80ms. Basically, when the game loads (after pick and bans) just close the game and reconnect and the ping should be fixed.
This is caused by your ISP treating the route to HK over two paths out of the PH as equal cost when they have very different paths and latencies in reality. What you’re doing here is the right way to go about getting around it.
In the meantime I have heard that some gaming vpns are having their ips blocked when connecting to sea servers (Exitlag and mudfish) was that intended? Because its the only way PLDT users like us to play at constant 20+ ping :(

Hello, I was wondering if there have been any updates or progress in resolving these issues since then? Will the target date be delayed at all or anything?? I've been waiting for the past 2 months to play League again, I really hope it will be resolved soon.
If you are a PLDT customer you should be asking them. May 19th is the latest date I have for repairs on the AAG system between HK and PH.
