(2019) Dancin' Deryl is good, people are playing him wrong

I watched Kripp talk about how you have to hold back on doing the stats swapping with Deryl and I definitely disagree. It's pretty easy to make top 4 with Deryl using staying mostly in rank 2 and doing stats swaps. First off, I most mess around with the "low tier" characters since I want to find out how to make them work, so I've played a lot of Deryl in the past week. Of course my MMR suffers a bit because of that experimentation and most of my wins only net me around 25 points screenshots below:

But of course looking at this screenshot doesn't really say "how" Deryl works, so I made a quick video.

The biggest issue with Deryl is figuring out when you should go forward in levels. If someone doesn't believe this can be done consistently with Deryl or if you are limited to one strat.

Has anyone else experimented with the "bad" classes or is everyone only picking Neff, AFK, Curator and Manastorm?

Ideally you want a divine shield minon for this - so that the buffs help you twice.

Later in the game if you see a hydra you could repeat the process and make a big hydra. Its tough when you have 5 minions in the shop though because you will sometimes buff the wrong thing.
