Ok smart people, edumicate me on Ghoul armor. SS, Brotherhood, Solar, Power, which is the most commonly used?

I see that SS has 220 rad protection and T45 has 360 rad protection. So it doesn't seem like it would be too much more trouble to be a Ghoul in T45 over SS. Whatcha think?

I have only played chars in PA, so I am not well versed in regular armour, though I do have a full set of SS for my main, so as to not get caught nekkid out of my PA.
