I've waited 3 days and no response from the astronomically slow and incapable support team at Bethesda. After 2 days I got some bot response telling me to try stuff I already said didn't work.

I'm trying to link my Steam account for the free Fallout 76 key (this promotion ends on the 12th) since I already own the game on Bethesda.net, whenever I try I get the error mentioned in the title. I have no other Bethesda accounts what so ever so I couldn't have possibly linked my steam account to some other Bethesda.net account. I have no idea what to do as the only solution I've been told is "it's already linked" which I can 100% no question in my mind ASSURE you that it isn't. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

Respond to that ticket and tell them the troubleshooting didn’t work. You will still receive your copy since you filed a ticket before the deadline. Our support team is working through a massive amount of tickets right now so response time is slower but they will be able to assist you.
