Just saw the latest post about another member of the EVE community passing on. I didn't know Jason, but I bawled reading those comments. For a game, and a subreddit, filled with salt it never ceases to amaze me how everyone comes together when it matters. I attended my first John Bellicose (didn't know him either) vigil last year and the sight of all those cynos lighting the way home was indescribable. I am so proud to be part of a game that fosters such bonds between its players.
It's my seventh anniversary of moving to Iceland today, and my seventh anniversary of working with CCP on Tuesday.
Almost a decade of shit flinging, rage management, back and forth and fun times with the community - and that's after ten years of being a player myself.
Still fucking love it, still love all you guys. We have the best community out there, hands down, and it really shows when one of us passes on and respects are paid, despite how much of a pack of bastards we are to each other in game.
