(2020) Headbobing = Motion Sickness

Cmon, I don't get travel sickness, VR is fine, but this actually makes me feel like someone put me on a rollercoaster.

This isn't fun. Why bother with a headbobbing slider if it does fucking nothing.

we are agree - you will have an option to remove it soon.

I'm just genuinely confused on why even make it an option. Headbob is completely unrealistic and makes for an awful experience.

Just like motion blur, rain droplets on your screen, and lens flares, these are all effects that happen to a camera lens and not the human eye. Your brain filters out motion blur and headbob, and I'm almost certain people don't get rain/blood droplets on their eyeballs.

thats your opinion and i respect it

When you walk around with a heavy backpack does your head drunkenly sway around...?

yes

nubetube

I think the misunderstanding here is that while your head does move around in real life, your eye muscles, inner ear, and brain compensate for this and perform image stabilization.

If you put a GoPro attached to your head and walk around, the video will have crazy headbob going on, but to your real life perspective it would be mostly stable because our brains have adapted to compensate for this.

no misunderstanding. just your vision against punishable overweight mechanic

nubetube

I love the punishing overweight mechanic. I have nothing bad to say about any of the overweight mechanics except the headbob which makes looking at the screen difficult without getting nauseous.

I do not enjoy getting motion sickness in a game.

i totally understand it, thats why we do this optional

Thank you for the response, Nikita.
