It is first on the list of improvements we want to make to it, yes. I can't really give an ETA though, the bungie.net team has a lot on its plate at the moment. I do intended to get to it as soon as possible - those posts are super annoying.

That’s understandable given what’s going on atm, but thank you guys for understanding and addressing the problem-huge props to the bungie.net team!

Moderation is a hard problem when people can easily create accounts. Even the requirement of game integration is less of a deterrent than you'd think. We could work on it full time and still always have more work to do. I wish we could iterate on it more, I find it a fascinating problem to work on.

That said, I have some creative solutions in mind for both this kind of spammer and people doing similar things in private messages on bungie.net... brought to you by the same person (me) who set up bungie.net's profanity filter to change the word Nazi to hyperlinks to the wiki entry for Godwin's Law. Hopefully I'll get to them soon.
