Xur gave me next weeks bounty early because I happened to be in his inventory at reset, but one of the quest steps is bugged... you CANNOT get vex kills on the Tangled Shore. See the image for the quest steps.
And yes, I've tried running Warden of Nothing (Prison of Elders) about 5 times, but zero essence drop.
