Honestly, this is one of the games I feel where they do the balance between paid and free players right. All paid content is either cosmetic or is balanced out once free players reach endgame (i.e. more dust for middleman). The only complaint I really have is the hunt pass length reduction.

Totally hear ya here. We're trying to find the right balance in both our patch cycles, content production cadence, and financials. We're looking at finding a way to slow down again for Season 7 and still hit our dates.

Let's see... PHXL has:

1. Removed lootboxes from the game before the controversy. Then refunded the platinum spent on them. Then let people keep what they got.
2. Compensated players who made purchases for features that are no longer in the game, such as style hunter and guild charters.
3. Normalized their premium currency to a 100=$1 standard so that there is no obscure value headmath going on when trying to figure out "how much is XXX platinum really worth" in the store
4. Gave extra goodies, free of charge, to players.
5. Extended hunt passes regularly whenever bugs cropped up.
6. Finished all players huntpasses and granted them all the associated rewards regardless of their progress when the servers had to be taken offline during the final week of that huntpass.
7. Recently changed transmog stones so that they're permanent unlocks of gear skins instead of one-swap-per-use.
8. Are giving people who lost their transmogs 10 free transmog stones - enough to unlock 2 full gear sets - for free.
9. Refunded platinum to players who purchased the old dye packs when those dyes moved into free-to-earn models, while letting them keep the dye unlocked.
10. Regularly listened to community feedback regarding pricing, fairness, and value - including halving the costs of the additional loadout slots. Halving them. Considering how expensive loadouts were for them to make by manhours, reducing their potential profit on them by half is a huge show of good will to the community.

But you know what, a meme is funny, even if it's poorly researched, right?

Our goal is to always do right by the players. Can't say we're perfect. But we always try our best, and commit to owning up to and making right our mistakes.

Been here since the first reveal at The Game Awards, GTez, and I have always appreciated PHXL's attempts (successful or otherwise) at transparency and valuing their community.

That reveal was so nerve wracking. Both times I've been up on stage at the game awards I blacked out from the nerves. Don't remember a second of it. Last year all I remember is from a few minutes later sitting next to the Dead Cells guys, who are super inspiring btw.

Hey man, just want to say thanks for an enjoyable game.

I don't get a lot of time to play games anymore between work and spending time with my family but I recently stumbled upon Dauntless and have enjoyed it a lot for the short bursts of time I get to indulge.

You also seem like a good bunch of people which is why I don't mind sticking my hand into my own wallet to support you.
