Hey!! The reason you cannot cancel here is because the game has already matched you with a group, even though it has not loaded the island yet. We had a "cancel" button back in the beta days because we had a lot less players, but now that there are a lot of you it instantly matches almost every time... which is great! But that also makes it almost impossible to be fast enough to cancel before you find a group. If you were to cancel at that point, you would be abandoning the party who has match made into a group with you. We are investigating how to make this flow better for players, but in the meantime we will be removing the "cancel" button all together when you cannot cancel so that we can avoid confusion.
