Tried to get my login core and they had smartly displaced it by one space to the right from its normal position so I would buy a trashy hunt arrival that I will probably never use. Never felt this horrible about a purchase before, was going to buy loadout slots using that Plat. My duo partner also got lured in but fortunately he didn't have enough platinum to green light the purchase. Tried to get a refund but found out there is no way to do it.

Did anyone have a similar experience?

I understand placing the login core in the item shop to promote sales but is it really necessary to condition us so that we make accidental purchases?

Might be hard for you keyboard players to understand but in controller its only Start->Down->A->A->A to make the purchase.

UPDATE1: Support replied to my ticket and said that they would try to refund my platinum.

UPDATE2: The platinum has been refunded and the login core was in the right place today :) . Really appreciate the responses from PHXL

This is in no way on purpose, and I'll flag it right now with the team to see what's up.

It's so that people check the deals as they attempt to claim the login core which I completely understand and am not offended by. The only problem was the positioning. Regardless, Phoenix Labs Support replied to my support ticket and said that the platinum transaction was being reversed.

It would be great if you had to Hold a button instead of tap to buy so accidental purchases happen less often.

It actually wasn't the goal at all. It is in the store right now as this was an easy way for us to introduce the daily login system without having to wait for a whole new system with its dedicated UI to be developed.

The exact same goes for the contracts that have up until now lived in the store.

That being said, we are actively working on said systems, and you should be able to experience them sooner than later (I would say for the next Hunt Pass, but this is still TBD). ;)

As Tinouti mentioned elsewhere in the thread, this is 100% not intentional. If you misclicked onto this and spent plat that you didn't want to please send us a support ticket so that we can fix it for you <3

Our intention is never to trick people - we want people to feel good about their purchases! I am so so sorry it felt that way.

For awareness: we are designing a new way to recieve daily login cores and contracts that will live outside of the store entirely.
