(2020) This Sub Is The Antithesis Of A Fan Base

As a strong believer in video games being a form of art, I think that is the fact that immediately went over a large amount of BFV player's collective heads on the release trailer.

Every BF title, and video game in general, follows an artistic vision, and just because posters here were never on board with this particular title's direction doesn't simply mean DICE has no integrity toward WWII.

This sub is a real life product of a real life, dumbed down, Us vs. Them attitude.

Honestly? This sub should largely be ashamed of itself, and so should the admins who have taken part in this largely self-righteous toxicity.

Nothing but cancerous memes, toxic hate, and a bunch of immature ass-hats who think themselves armchair devs, when in reality, all this sub has largely done is tear this release down and have since the trailer. That's called shooting yourself in the foot, fellas.

I imagine the DICE devs probably feel similarly, but I cannot speak for them.

There it is. Prove me wrong.

When the pacific released, everyone on this sub was on board and in good spirits because the game seemed to have regained a sense of direction. That all went out the window with 5.2 and the AWFUL ttk change, which may I remind you was also forced upon us the first christmass of the game live cycle (I say forced because, as with this last ttk change, the reasons wete not balancing or listening to community feedback, but attract new players and make the game "easier" to pick up). Not only that, but the game lacks basic features from Battlefield 1, literally the last game of the franchise, which had them long before in their devolepements.

It seems you are also forgetting all the people that had worked in the game and now are out of DICE and are starting to paint a picture of how it was in the developement side, and it seems things were not good by their side either.

I can't talk about everyone here, but I participate in other games subreddits and only in a few (the ones that deserve it) are people so upset and dissapointed with the product they wanted to like. And that is something you should not forget: the big majority of people that are mad about this game (myself included) are not crazy or toxic, we just expected a lot of the game based on their promises and were delivered and incomplete, half baked product that can't even deliver in the features advertised in the REVEAL TRAILER and all the ones that came before the release date.

I also think is unfair to blame the mods of this sub, I think they try very hard to mantain this space that, wether they like it or not, has become a space were people can air their complaints and know that at least a couple of members of the team will read them. Considering the amount of people and post that they have to manage every day, i don't belive they are doing a bad job.

It's interesting to me that, from all the people involved, you try to defend the one participant that absolutely didn't delivered on their promises, presented us a different game that they advertised (Firestorm? Combined arms? GRAND OPERATIONS?) and had been slow and unresponsive when it comes to updates and fixes (remember the time they made a poll on twitter to see if they modelled a german airplane or added mote vehicles, and then they didn't do any of them? Yeah, those sort of things are the reason people are mad and that show TO ME that there's not hope on the devs side to have a decent, half playable game, but only one where they can recover their money with skins and then move to other project.

We stay out of the business of taking things personal or moderating based on our personal opinions. That is how you kill a community quickly, even though we get accessed of being biased (on both sides of 'you mod too much/you mod too little.')

Believe me, we are fans too and wish this game was something else as well but that is not how we mod. As long as things are following the rules as we interpret them we are more than happy to let y'all vent and discuss.
