(2019) Patching has improved, but Wildcard needs to own up to mistakes better.

Prime example would be the update then rolling the servers back last night. Countless players lost their accounts, along with their imprinted dinosaurs. Replacing all of that progress with a level 105 shows Wildcard is still having trouble tending to critical issues such as this with the playerbase.

Also, there should be a backup option for players already. Make it where we can store a backup of our characters only (no items, etc to prevent any exploits).

In the meantime, believe the team needs to think of a better way to make up for players losing their accounts.

These commands are for the player themselves and not for a targeted player just fyi so they don't ascend another player or give them engrams.

Fair point.

The new team has tried to pay specific attention to how we can improve these situations - the changes to patching over the last year have come from this. It's why when we reversed the HOD ban, we committed ourselves internally to approaching meshing through a new way which you're starting to see the results of now. It's also why we've added the givetekengramsto admin command in today's patch.

The reality is that we're human, and we make mistakes like everyone else, but we're trying to learn from them and change our processes to help.

Many thanks for responding.

The new command will definitely help out people that have lost accounts. Only other thing I can think of is way for players to reclaim their imprinted dinos again. Didn't happen to me this time, but know people have lost a lot of time investment recently. Feel for those that lost their imprinted Gigas and squids. That two week time investment is rough when you lose 50+ of those dinos in blink of an eye.

CS started restoring imprints a while back.

Didn't know about that. That's a really big improvement from before, nice.

Aye - came from applying the same approach - valor did the heavy lifting on that one. :)
